What's going on? Where did the factions go, and where is the Arbiters' Order?
I've consolidated all our gaming focus into one area, where members of CurvedSpace can organize what they want in whatever games they play. It's now safe to simply call CurvedSpace a gaming site instead of a multi-game guild, because that's where our focus has been going for a while and these changes just make it official. No matter what games you play, CurvedSpace is your site!
With the new changes also comes a new flavor for the forums. We have divided many of the forums between three divisions, all named after Final Fantasy entities to go along with the old SeeD theme. Since it was the name of our original guild, SeeD is the name for our gaming division. The administrative division is now called Shinra, where members can discuss site-related topics and request assistance from moderators. Then the third division involves anything somewhat "intellectual" on our site, though it does not yet have a name... Soon our members will decide what its fate will be!
Even better is that in your profile, you can choose a division to join. Check out the three main division forums for details about what each specifically does, and be sure to join the one that interests you the most! You may even become a leader there someday.
Well, that's basically what happened. You can find more detailed information on the forums if you wish to read more.
First is for the roleplayers among us... DarkStorm 2 is nearing completion (finally), and it should be ready within a month. For those who haven't been keeping up lately, it has been converted into an entirely roleplayed game. All who feared the stats rejoice, for numbers will be a rare sight in DarkStorm for a long time. The responses so far have been positive, and I'm looking forward to kicking DS1 in the head. It will be a glorious moment.
When DS2 launches, I will conclude the event in the desert. What will happen to Ethan and Gero? Who is Malachi? Which kingdom will win? Why did the Maldera leave? Just how insane is Darkness? Find out soon!
--------------------------------------
The second thing worth mentioning is that our guild may soon experience some big changes. They're hopefully for the better, but we need your input! Please check out this thread. You may want to grab a Mountain Dew first, but keep it away from the server...
--------------------------------------
Onto the third thing worth mentioning... I just opened the new Time Capsule. If you want to post something that members will laugh at in 2009, then don't delay! It will only be open for about a month, so don't miss your chance.
--------------------------------------
The fourth thing worth mentioning is perhaps the most important: For trying to unite the forces of Sanity and Insanity... Kimo, you're on notice!
I apologize about the downtime over the weekend. We were having technical problems with the server and it had to be taken offline, but everything should be working now. Thanks for your patience.
Sorry for all the downtime today... The update took a long time. It mostly included improvements in the background, though you will find minor changes here and there. Almost everything, including the portal, forums, blogs, and galleries, have been improved.
Expect more updates soon, such as DarkStorm 2, some new templates, and maybe a few surprises...
What's that? Cspace nuked the "Advanced Chat"? "Basic Chat" got promoted to "Chat"? What's this madness!
That's right, there's now just one chat applet. I worked on it a little (enjoy the better emoticons :D), but the big thing is the new chat block in the left Stuff Bar. If you enter the chat using our applet, you'll be listed in that block for all to see. If others want to chat, maybe they'll check in. Just remember to register your name! If you don't, we unfortunately cannot reserve it for you.
Hail, Renegade Knights! They're a Super Group in the game City of Heroes, on the server Virtue. Their guild is now featured in the Arbiters' Order, so for all who play CoH, feel free to check in.
