Here are some graphs of a few aspects of our activity since a few have asked for them. Please refer to the headings in the screenshots to tell what they are. Just a note to those who don't know how to make these useful, with activity graphs such as these you should look for general trends. Most are consistently upward with a couple spikes and depressions, this is good for the community because it shows that it has been growing. We could do better but this is nothing to complain about. Note: The quality of these images has been slightly reduced to decrease load times for slower connections.

Feel free to post comments or your own analysis of these graphs and possible explanations of what you think increases activity. grnwink.gif

Just a few of my own comments:

- Registrations could have been affected by the news updater malfunction (fixed now, first news update in quite a while biglaugh.gif ). We would appear inactive to them and first impressions are most important.

- This month may have dropped a little because school is starting again, expect this statistic to probably increase next month as we get back into the scheme of things with schedules.

- New threads have increased less rapidly than new posts, this shows that threads are obviously receiving more views though members are feeling less of a need to post new topics. I will seriously say that posting more threads will probably have a positive impact on activity (something that everyone can do). Therefore don't try to judge what is and what is not necessarily worthy of posting; if you feel that it is worth posting then it probably is. TheSmile.gif

- We had a dip though are increasing in activity fairly rapidly. This is a great trend if we can get it to accelerate as it did back a while ago. Tell your friends about SeeD and CurvedSpace and try to get them to do the same if they like the community. In no time we can potentially explode with activity if everyone can take a small part. thumb.gif

Wow, those are very interesting statistics! Rylkan's Insanity Board should totally beat SeeD Inn!!! screama.gif

Meh... Woah! Never knew you looked at the PM's biglaugh.gif

(And for something completely random...) However if you look at the statistics sideways, they look like mountains loopy.gif Last one looks the best sideways!!!

Heh, I thought Feb would be the lowest.

It was directly following the original round of 'Anti-SeeDs' (which weren't actually against SeeD, just a few members complaining about things, including a few people still quite active here). Things had calmed down and were fairly pleasant, but a lot of people were upset over various things, and spent less time at the boards. Quite a few of our regulars also quit, whether to return in time or not.

Thanks for posting these Cspace, we seem to be going quite well currently. At this point in time we're quite near to the peak that was seen in late 2003, even with people going back to school. I have no doubts we'll continue to rise further.

Thanks Cspace bluetongue.gif

I thought Nov/Dec would be the drop out point as many of the members were on holidays ect.

April in 2003 was pretty quiet, though me and pav22 (spam-a-holic friend) joined then.

Notice how the most inactive month is the month I joined. Whatever_anim.gif

And how when I joined was top 5 in most categories. bluetongue.gif

I'd figure on July and December being the most actice. Long breaks and lots of free time. TheSmile.gif

Hmmm.... SeeD Inn is number one, which I expected but I had no idea how popular the insanity board is! I'm also suprized that GD isnt number 2 or 3

Hehe, the boards increased in activity very quickly as soon as Draggy joined, of course TheSmile.gif .

Oh, and speaking of Draggy... *Pwned by member number*

Just the statistics, lol, I can't see the actual PMs. The PM statistics are there to give a better understanding of activity off the site though through our services. Also can show direct interaction, can either be members hopefully making friends or members fighting (the bulk usually will not consist of indifferent queries). bluetongue.gif

Technically private messages can be pulled off the raw database if I'm in the mood to spend many hours to find one particular message among everything here. Have never done this though, private messages should be just that: private. TheSmile.gif

GD isn't used that often. It's mainly when there are conflicts an' such. Also, Ninten's comics brought 4000 views to CZ biglaugh.gif bluetongue.gif
