Someone suggested that I bump the post about sjred's stolen shield so here is an update. For anyone who didn't read the first post, sjred had her dragon shield stolen by a "close friend," Archer003, who also sent her obscene msn messages and threatened her family. Archer003 has stolen a number of items from other players by keylogging. He did not get the shield by keylogging.

Update: Thanks, Seed, for posting my story. I’m happy to report that I’m doing a lot better now, and yes, I’ve learned from the experience. I have kept after Jagex and when I mentioned keylogging, they sent another form letter saying that they would investigate Archer003 but that they would not tell me what they found out. He’s still playing rs, so evidently they’ve done nothing substantive and it appears that Archer will get away with what he’s done. I’ve learned to expect no help from Jagex—half the form letters they have sent have referred to random other topics—frankly, I think they auto those things. Kind and loyal friends are another story. Seed members and others have helped me to get back on my feet, and my family, who all play rs has been wonderful. I’ve been replenishing my bank account by alching hides. I’ve trained hard and am now level 119, 78 prayer and 95 att, str, def, and hp. Archer’s and Rattus’s stats indicate that they’ve abandoned the 99 smithing plan; I guess stealing from your friends takes the joy out of working for things. I have heard rumors that Archer is now a merchant and spends a lot of time in Fally. No doubt, he sold my shield to get started. I spoke with him once and he said he would pay me 9 mill to compensate for the shield. That was months ago. I don’t expect to ever see it, and I expect that Archer will continue ripping people off and messing up the game for others in whatever ways he can. He is a very unhappy person and I feel sorry for him, but his life will never get better until he gets real with other people.

Sorry to hear they didn't get their shield back, not entirely unexpected though.

Glad everything has gotten a bit better, Mrs. Skye Seems Jagex really doesn't want to help out (I've noticed they rarely do these days )..Hopefully Archer can come to his own well needed sense someday.
