Ever want to get tournaments going in the arcade? Now it's possible.

We now have a new position which allows chosen members to be able to start tournaments. For those with this position, tournaments can be started in the Arcade ModCP (link is next to "Your Rankings").

The following (in no particular order) have already been given the position and can, as of this post, start tournaments at will:

- All admins

There will be a sub forum of the Event Forum for tournaments in a moment. That is where tournament notices should all be posted.

Cool! I was going to ask you about tournaments just the other day, Cspace!

Ok, you can create tournaments now


Either old or active members who seem to enjoy the arcade.


To Create:

1) Go into the arcade section
2) Near the top just under the banner, there should be an "Arcade ModCP" link. Click it.
3) Hit the Tournament link on the left side.
4) Under "Create New Tournament", select the game and number of competitors. Then follow the directions from there.

To Participate In A Tournament:

1) Go into the arcade section
2) Under your avatar is a Tournament link. Click it.
3) Select the active tournament in which you are a part.
4) Then under your name you should have three chances and a play link. Basically for each round you have three chances to get the highest score possible.
5) The tournament will progress until there is a winner

Note: The "User ID" is the number that shows up on the bottom of your browser when you have your mouse over a username. It is also the link to a member's profile. Would be like http://www.cspacezon...hp?showuser=650. "650" is the User ID. This is the number for Bigrat, by the way.

Also, this should in most cases be the "Member Number" under everyone's name in a post.

I kinda figured that tournaments would be based over a few different games (say for instance, a tournament of all the yetisport games) This is still cool though

I have a suggestion, maby the winner of a tournament for a game could get to start the next one for the game that the person won

Interesting idea Bubba, just not sure how well it would work, by the looks of it Cspace has to change the profile of each individual person before they can host tournaments, so I don't think it would work unfortunately.
