It's web pages like this that remind me of the reason why the aliens haven't landed yet.

Actually, there isn't. They found some bacteria on a rock sample that came from Mars, but then NASA said it was from the microscope itself. But yes, that would count as an alien.

Mars could have (Or still is) held life. Looking at the rocks, patterns, and both poles. there was water there one time.

Look this is the last i'll say ablout this, but, traver brought up a topic from another debate then i try'd to defend myself and you serhpmarion come in and questioning my religion. I Don't want you dissing my beliefs about aliens and saying i have nothing to back it up. If people would stop saying "Hey that light must be an alien spacecraft" and say, oo piggly wiggly eft there lights on, i think there comoen sense would make them see that these are bogus things. god, this sucks.

It's funny, Triple. You think I'm questioning the Christian (If that's what religion you practice) religion, when I'm also a Christian.

I'm not dissing your beliefs, I'm just saying you have an unsufficient amount of evidence prooving your theory. Sure, some things that are said to be aliens or UFOs are hoaxes, but a lot of it is believable is you open your mind to it.

And again, Traver was using your religion as an analogy, not questioning it.

I understand using an analagy but he wasn't using one. He was bringing up somthing i said in another debate. I just don't like using analagy's that might offend people. He said i had no proof of whats in the bible, not that i have no proof aliens don't exist. I'm a christian to. But this is getting out of hand. I don't know what to do, this is a good debate topic but i think the wrong deate things are being said.

I was just wondering how you can believe in miracles and the supernatural and whatnot, yet stubbornly refusing to believe in aliens.

And yes, I have read quite a few books, and I do believe in something, you can call that a religion if you want to.

Again, I just wonder how you can sincerely believe in what the Bible says, yet you refuse to think that aliens can exist. Faith is many things, you can also have faith in that aliens exist, ever thought of that?

Most people "high up in the government" don't know what is there because the President of the US doesn't even have access to Area 51. You can't believe your dad in what he says about that because he wasn't there.

i believe in aliens cus my dad is kind of like the guy who builds nuclear silos and stuff, and he worked in area 51 once and he said he heard unhuman screams inside....

I refuse to belive in aliens because the stories seem so bogus to me. I mean stuff like "crop circles" when people have allready confessed they did them. And stuff like area 51, people can make themselves belive whatever they want, my grandmother isn't sick but makes herself belive she's sick. Anyone can see a light and make themselves believe its an alien spacecraft. There are lights in the mountains where i live, that some say could be aliens, but some (use there brains) and try to find reasonable explanations for it. If you belive that aliens exist hard enough you will be able to look at anything and say "hey i think thats an alien". Thats why in this debate no1 is going to end up changing there mind.

So you're saying that because people can make themselves believe whatever they want, you don't believe in aliens?

If that's the case, then you wouldn't believe in anything...

just think about it triple, the chances that we are the only lifeforms in thw whole universe?! i mean an alien could mean some weird fungi as long as it is life on another planet.

no, i agree that fungi's could be on other planets but i don't consider them "alien lifeforms". No traver, i'm saying that all of these alien sighting stories are bogus, because people can make themselves belive that the light they see in the idstance is an alien. I just think that if people would use common sense when it come to seeing lights, and that kinda of stuff they would see that there not aliens, there just lights.

But they may not necissarily be carbon based.

And if anyone believes that we are alone in all the universes in space, that is truly tragic.

While it's almost certain that there is life somewhere out there in the universe, the chances are astronomically low that what they do in their spare time is hang around abducting people, creating crop circles or allowing themselves to be captured by humans. If their technology is so advanced that they're entirely undetectable by the best sensors and satellites our world can throw at them, how is it that one (or more) was captured, and why have they allowed this to be so if they want to keep themselves secret.

Lack of proof against something doesn't necessarily count as proof for it. None of you can personally prove that I'm not Superman reincarnated, but I'd look like a pretty big idiot if I went around calling myself it and shunning anybody that didn't believe me.

And for the record, I've yet to see any proof of aliens. A Teenager saying 'I read a book that said they were real and that Area 51 is covering them up' doesn't really cut it as far as proof goes, I'm afraid. And in most cases neither would a published book, practically anything can get published if they think it will sell. There's just no rational reason for aliens to be here doing the things they do, and there are far too many holes in the logic of the whole thing that people seem to overlook, or cover up by going on about 'conspiracies' and 'fake moon landings'. None of you seem to be insisting that the probe to mars or other planets/satellites was fake, so why is it so inconceivable that humans managed to travel a fraction of the distance the probes did? I watched some stupid documentary on them 'faking' the moon landing a few years back, I don't think I stopped laughing for about an hour afterwards.

For the record, I'm not in any way religious either, I just don't feel the need to convince people otherwise if they choose to believe in an oniscient and omnipresent being.
