I was going to post a "fossil" since I looked up the dictionary meaning for "jet" (I didn't think it'd be a plane jet) and it said a black mineral... I hate youuuu meanie.

alright, heres another chance for JGJ to solve a riddle, since rat is now officially gone :

A moth ate words; a marvelous event
I thought about it when I heard about that wonder.
A worm had swallowed some man's lay, a thief
In the darkness had consumed the mighty saying
With its foundation firm. The thief was not
One whit the wiser when he ate those words.
Who was the thief?

Feed the plushie!
(Rayquaza plushie? WTF? It doesn't look anything like the other plushies!)

Since all I get from Dreamy is a mysterious grin when I try answer it over msn... I guess I have to post here.

Since I'm getting paranoid... and Dreamy is away at the moment... I'll post my second/third answer here.

*copies and pastes from msn convo*

A worm had swallowed some man's lay, a thief
In the darkness had consumed the mighty saying

That could be put together as one sentence however for this riddle they thought to make it tricky... so split it in half by use of a comma. The first part says the worm ate something and the second part describes the action which the worm had done

Edit: Stupid... forgot to post the answer... the worm ate whatever it was eating.

Fine! Meanie!

As I said before, the worm did whatever... ate those words... look at my explanation up there... HOWEVER! In the first part of the sentece before the semi-colon it says "A moth ate words" so I'm guessing... the moth ate the worm after the worm at the words? If that ain't the answer... I'll call you evil Dreamy.
