Still take PotC as most-waited-for movie
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's end vs. Spiderman 3 Witch would you choose?

Judging by how (in my opinion), the HP series has taken a massive downslide since the fifth book came out, I'm sorry to say that my expectations for it aren't all that high

Both.
Spider-Man 3: Saw it at 12:10 AM on the 4th. Quite good. Different from the first two, but not necessarily worse. It didn't suck.
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End: I'll be begging for autographs on the red carpet at the premiere, and I've got a ticket for the 8:00 PM showing on 24 May.
(Local theater is starting its "midnight" showings early for some reason... not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

I enjoyed Spiderman 3. I think it's main failing was that it was trying to fit too much into the movie, but that was probably because they felt they had to for the fans. It was still a pretty cool movie and I liked it, but 3 main bad guys seemed a little much, especially since one of them was Harry and I think they could have devoted more time to telling that.
PotC should be visually awesome and quite funny, but my hopes for the storyline don't stretch to it matching the first. It's not so much the case that the second movie was setting up for the third, more just that the formula is getting a little old. You can only make so many rum references before it starts to lose some of its hilarity, hehe.

Agreed. Just the rum jokes in the second movie annoyed me a bit because of the repetitiveness. I think they need to try their hardest to focus on their characters' personalities, and developing that, than playing off jokes that have gone well. The rum joke doesn't make Jack Sparrow funny. Jack Sparrow makes the rum joke funny. If you catch my drift.

I saw it last week, and thats exactly what I thought. There was waaaay to much going on. I really didn't know where I was sometimes. It went from Harry to the black suit, to the Sandman etc. Then there was his personality changing and his relationship with Mary Jane. It confused me a lot in some places.
But it was still a pretty okay movie. But I'm not dying to see it again so soon.
My opinion is still the same on PotC. My family will probably drag me to see it anyway

PoTC and Spiderman 3 are equal in popularity, how do i know this you ask?
I work at a movie theatre...
Spiderman sold out on opening night just as PoTC will, i saw spiderman 3 just the other day and loved it, the story was a more love based role with Mary Jane and Peter Parker, and the weakness that many people see in this one will envoke the true essence when number 4 hits theatre next year.
BOTH, i cannot wait to see PoTC and spiderman 3 was a big success in my eyes!
