I thought AoC for 360 won't be released for another year. O.o
The other version for the 360 was just named "Conan", and a fair bit different from this one.

Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.
Such a heavy burden now to be "The One".
Born to bear and read to all the details of our ending
To write it down for all the world to see.

If it were F2P, I might have looked into it.

I had the 100000000+ page MMO version. You couldn't play unless you were in a library with a full stock and over 200 people.
It went kind of like:

You attack your opponent for 2 points of damage. Turn to page 4993705, section 27q.
Your parties cleric chooses to heal you for 10 points. Please refer to section ZZ of page 4993705 for options to progress with.

Gary Gygax (R.I.P., rolling 20s in his grave) was still struggling to get back into the whole D&D thing. We thought it was the next best thing.

A little update on the AoC thing.
I've been playing the game for a while now and it seems pretty sweet. It's got alot of character to it and the staff generally seems competent. The game just needs some polish in the form of bugfixes.
Also, I get 30fps on low settings with my GeForce 8600GT ("1100something" x "800something" resolution). Processor doesn't matter much, people are running this game with a P4 and a modern graphics card and they do just fine graphically.

I could never pick it up, the name just makes me think of Conan O'Brien too much, which would not be an ideal game source..

"Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

Puny system requirements are no match for my machine.
Ruckus is right about wow though. For people like me, who've been with blizzard since Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, it's a hard tie to break. I don't think, even if I do start AoC, that I'll ever be able to truly sever ties with wow.
That said, I did get a LOT of money for graduation, most of which I am happy to blow on games, and so I very well may pick up this game and give it a try. I don't know about most places, but the shop I saw it at had a copy that gave you a month free, so that's encouraging me to try it.

O man, yeah the new ver of the game just popped out of my {expletive antidisestablishmentarianized by Cspace} and I could play it on my X360.
No dip im talking about the old game....
Ill probably give this game a shot once I hear more about it. Maybe when the expantion pack is out since by then they must of added a bunch of updates and fixes most of the major flaws.
Ill also check if there is a free trial on the site like the 14 day WoW free trial that got me starting to play the game.
