Ah yes... le chef! I've been considering that too, forgot to mention, lol.
As for military options... for me, they're a last resort. I'd rather stay out of the military, but if I had to go in I'd prefer the Navy or Air Force. Though, I would get accelerated promotion (straight to E-2) due to my time in JROTC.

Ouch, trust me mate. Navy is not the place to go. My aunt has over 20 years in the Navy, and still isn't an officer. Though, she never was in JROTC, but still..

You better like school. A lot. You will need at least a Master's Degree, and often higher.

Actually, most enlisted members of the military never become officers. There is a program for it (which my brother may be going for after he gets his sub qualifications ("dolphins")), but to my knowledge it's hard to get into.

True, enlists rarely become officers. But if you go to the Academy, I believe you automatically become an officer. Not too sure about that though..

If you go to West Point you will graduate a Second Lueitenant. There are two types of officers: commissioned and nocommissioned. Commisioned is lueitenant and higher, one must go to school to become one. Sargeant and below are noncom officers, and are usually pormoted from privates. No school is necessary for them. A majority of people aren't officers, and very few will become officers. JORTC and Eagle Scouts get auto-rank ups, allowing them to go into military as officers, whether or not they go to school for it. There are no JORTC programs in my area, but I'm almost an Eagle Scout.
Programming is more fun, but if the draft is ever revived, you'll see my name on the enrollment to an officers school.
