It wouldn't be remotely right to kill the innocent civilians inside of that city, would it?

True, the citizens have no say whatsoever over there. Some of them like the war, but some of them hate it, and killing them definitely would not be justified.

That's called war. The Nazis did it to London, Poland, most of Europe. The Japanese did it all over the Pacific. It just happens that the invading country happens to kill some citizens. If we win, it is worth it.

Jarik, Canada has said that it will not allow US citizens to evade the draft by fleeing to their country. TheSmile.gif

True, but Mexico has not said anything, and motivated people can get to places like New Zeland or Australia. (true, that is harder, but do-able) as for the Killing of inocent people, consider, we hunted down and punished an enormous nmber of people who killed inocent civilians during the wars mentioned. (Enter, the Nazi war crime s trials) the intentional killing of civilians is ileagal under international law, however, absolutely unavodable situations ( a bomb that misses) is known as colateral damage, and is usualy overlooked. (so nuking the whole country is out of the question, a "tactical" nuclear strike is far more likly, but for the type of war we are in,(fighting small groups of rebels) the use of nucear weapons it out of the question, as there is no target large enough to warent one)

True, but this isn't some huge war we're talking about. This is a war in which we are trying to root out terrorists, not bomb everything in sight. I was simply trying to say that bombing everything is unneccesary in this war, unless we needed to take down some huge establishment of terrorists.

The draft goes against everything the US stands for. First off, those most affected by it (us) have absolutely no say on its creation. Secondly, forcing people to fight in ANOTHER war nobody really wanted to be in is 10 times worse than it was the first time around in Vietnam. If Bush were remotely concerned with the wellbeing of our troops, Baghdad wouldn't be a city anymore, but rather a smoldering chunk of desert glass.

We will never win a terrorism war. Its impossible the way we are doing it. Nuclear retaliation is the only threat we could have against terrorists. I say let there be no middle east should another 9-11 happen.

The problem arises with Israel being in the Middle East.
Nuking all the Arab countries risks the lives of our allied nations inhabitants.

I wish We could nuke, but you don't realize what devastating effects nuclear embargos have on the economy. Extremely bad. Plus, it would terrify all the surrounding countries and pit them against us.
That would not be a good thing.
HI! I'M BACK SPORADICALLY! Nobody probably remembers me :(
