oh and if ur curious, i cant stand seeing things go bad and if u noticed all the times i left SeeD was when i was trying to help something and kept trying and wouldnt work and thats the reason why i usually leave, becuase i stress out too much becuase i tried too hard to fix everything and couldnt do it

When SeeD needs people trying to fix problems is not a good time to quit. It makes people think you don't care about fixing SeeD, and that you want everything done for you. Maybe if you stayed during trying times and tried to fix the problem, instead of walking away, then people would respect you.

i think he notices that what he's trying to do isn't working, so he just quits before something gets worse... pretty smart if you ask me, quitting while you are ahead

How is quitting ever a good thing? Taking a break to cool your head is a good thing, but quitting not only puts you in a bad position, but hurts the clan. When you leave in trying times, it puts the idea in people's minds that quitting is okay, since you can just come back when everything is okay. Also, people will see you quitting when you fail at something, and will not respect you as much.

Oy... he is trying to explain himself... Try using compassion, not bringing down what he is trying to do.

Look, all in all, some of the people here are basing their opinions on wether or not Argentine should return solely on what other people say. Frankly, this is not a good way of going about things.
Did you all notice I did not post about the original topic? That was because I didn't know Argentine at all... instead of basing my opinion on what people here have said, I went out of my way to meet him and explored RSClassic with him a bit.
It was a lot of fun, finding my bank completely empty, landing smack dab in the black knight castle with no armor whatsoever, getting excited that I found a bronze item that i can use (yes, I actually wore bronze and iron as a lvl 67... bah, what do you expect from someone who has nothing biglaugh.gif) it was a lot of fun. Then argentine and I dueled a lot with the ratio of kills 5:1 in favor of argentine... maybe 10:1, I lost count, but I did win a few times... the fact that he took off his armor for the most part of my wins doesn't really matter though... *coughcough* Whatever_anim.gif

Still... Yeah, there are people who like Argentine... there are people who don't like him as much for whatever reason...

-For those who dont like him: just don't say anything. Best thing you can do. Why do I say that? You can do your thing and be happy, and so can he. It's a win-win situation, so why not just do that?

-For the people who like him: Continue doing what you do. Message, chat, hang out... whatever. Frankly I want to know his computer's specs and find out why he can't take the RS2 specs. 56k modems are cheap nowanddays, who knows? We'll see about that, another time.

-For those people who don't know him, take the time to get to know him before judging. Be honest, you do not want to be judged before people know you, do you? Of course not. So why do that to other people? Treat others the way you want to be treated. I didn't know Argentine, but I treated him with respect and friendship, and he responded in kind. All of this only came about today.

Like argentine said, we spent quite a bit of time hanging out and chatting. I got to know him a bit. He tries his best to help a Whole lot, and I sincerely doubt Anyone can deny this fact. Unfortunately, this can cause someone to wear themselves thin. Too much is put onto his plate, and he can't put anymore on. Not only does he get frustrated that he can't help those he is trying to help at the time, but he gets frustrated that more problems pop up and he can't handle anymore. Leaving may not have been the best remedy to the surging problems, but when you have so much weight on your shoulders, you may just give in sometimes.

In response to this, I say that he should not carry this burden alone. He tries to help everyone, but when it gets too much, i'll be there to help carry the load(wether he likes it or not bluetongue.gif). With that kind of dedication, a lot of great things are possible.

There's a lot more I can say about this... but, in a nutshell, he is Trying. He is Explaining himself... if there is more steps needed for recovery, he's Taking them. He is taking initative, the least anyone can do is acknowledge that. The most people can do is talk with him, get to know him.

People can always change for the better, remember that.

I got to know him and I have seen his bragging about his cooking. I have witnessed him delete about everyone off of his friend's list, which I don't really care to be on anyway...

I don't want to sound mean, but it is the truth. You don't clear Seeds off of your friends list because of one small conflict that he is never even involved in (Seed Related). Why delete everyone from your list if you are having trouble at home or in another situation outside of the internet?? It seems to be drama to me (If you don't like me saying the last line, please tell me and I will remove it from this post)

Shouldn't this post be about giving Argentine opinions about whether SeeDs want him back or not? Even if the comments have relevence to the topic, it seems you guys are kind of having a fight. You guys shouldn't fight as something bad might happen as a result from it seeing as it looks like Style is leaving! It doesn't look good for SeeDs to fight.

Even though I may not know Argentine that well, I think everyone deserves a second chance however should not repeat the actions they caused but I am not accusing Argentine of anything since I have not got to know him.

I took into account what MoS posted, and read it thoroughly. Some people base their opinions on others, just to play "a lost lamb" (following a certain person around, acting like them, etc..) but I rarely see people doing this. Anyway, I have been in SeeD for over 2 1/2 years (checked my first post on THIS board, was december 2002 methinks) so I can speak from experience what SeeD needs, what it gives, and how we help people.

I know argentine, he used to be Ok, when I first met him. But, as he continued through his Cooking & Emotional Rollercoaster, he just became intolerable. I might sound harsh, but his signature said "Best cook in SeeD" (Words might be SLIGHTLY wrong, but i can't remember) and people were constantly being reminded that he had that. Yes, it's a great accomplishment, congratulations, well done, but he needed (and maybe, still does need) to take a hint, and stop.

People who are defending Argentine obviously feel strongly that he should come back, which is perfectly acceptable in my opinion. But, when it starts resulting in flaming and MORE conflicts, I have to step in and say "NO, this cannot continue".

My fellow Super Mods can also put an end to a topic should they see the wellbeing of a member in danger. People who seriously don't want him back, say your opinions, but within reason. Yes, I stated that I don't want him back if he hasn't changed his priorities, but who knows, he could have.

Also, the leaving and rejoining scenario. How many topics, honestly, have there been on you (argentine) leaving or coming back? It's tolerable to a certain extent, but after that, it becomes ridiculous. Sure, you are dedicated, have a nice garden and people really respect that side of you. What we, or I, don't respect, is you deleting all SeeDs on your list just to get back at certain people. Innocent members don't deserve it, so why bother?

If there is a better clan, join it. Stay there. If you think we aren't worth it, don't come back. If you had too much on your plate and couldn't handle it why don't you stop trying to be top authority and let your friends and members support you. Cooling down for a period of 1 week-1 month is fine, people then understand that you are just taking a break, not leaving SeeD.

Quote time!

Erm, the whole point of his post was to get opinions... If he don't want the bad opinions as well, he shouldn't have posted.

Everyone deserves a second chance.

He has had a second chance, as well as a third and fourth chance.

As I said before, you are welcome to come back, because you might have changed. If you haven't change and you still want to come back, I won't support you.

JGJTan, you don't know how much I would agree with you if all those facts were right....

The one underlieing fact, it isn't a second chance. It's about tenth by now...

@Argentine: You come into SeeD, and brag about your cooking. In your sig, in your rejoining posts, everywhere. Did you know the only way I found out base could mine rune was asking him over AIM, because he doesn't like to brag about everything.

-Matty, wondering what SeeD will come to.

Traver: I was offering solutions that people can follow if he was to return. I dont want for him to be judged Every time he posts, it wouldn't be fair.

Chao: Appreciate the constructive post. thanks TheSmile.gif

To those who complain about bragging: Why target Argentine when, in reality, a bunch of people here can be classified as "braggers" because that they constantly "tell us" Everyday they post? Who am I talking about, hm?

Take a Good Look at people's customized signatures. (not the sigs provided from softwebb, etc. The contents of those aren't chosen by the people themselves)

A good bunch of people who are upset over Argentine's 'constant bragging' ironically have their accomplishments etched in customised signatures which, i'm quite sure, they made to one extent to another. Even if they did not make what they said on it, it didn't stop them from adding it to their signatures. A picture, some text, it's all the same in the end. Argentine doesn't brag about his cooking level everytime he posts, but one can argue that most of those who are upset over bragging, are bragging themselves every time they post.

To me, it's the pot calling the kettle black. Just an observation I made...

See y'all when i'm back from work.

One word!BUUUURRRRNNNNED!Good post MoS

MoS: Not trying to 'burn' anyone... just want everyone to know that each and every one of us could use a little lesson in humility before demanding others to be humble. Even me.
