Is hacking back a character that was once yours right?

If Jagex didnt have the rules that hacking was a no-no, I'd say that it is right. This from the universal rule of: 'two wrongs make a right'.

What do you think?

This is a good question. Since I respect the law, no. But, morally, yes.

No, not atall. Doing so would just lower yourself to the hackers own moronic level.

Yes it does make sense to take back what was rightfully yours.

i agree, it was yours to begin with, but you can all ways ask Jagex for help to get it back... which you should do in the first place.. ''If knowledge doesn't work, violence is the next best thing."

I think its PERFECTY ethical. That is to say if they didn't change your password AND recovery questions.

(which happened to me)

i spent a year trying to get my old character Kaisermike back..
but never did... sad.gif...

very good question... i dont know how to hack

Question: if someone hacked into your account, changed the password but didnt change the recovery questions, and you got your account back using them, is that considered hacking?

i wouldnt think so, since they were your questions in the first place...
Empty sig is empty.

if the character was rightfully yours before the hack there is no reason why you shouldnt take it back if you are hacking somebody else though that is a no-no.

Of course, hacking someone else is, but my old character got hacked, the guy(s) changed the recovery questions, password, and e-mail address (from rsc)

but, isnt that how alot of wars are started? and one of the reasons for world war 2? just a thought.....

and if someone stole your account, but you wanted it back, im not sure if hacking it would be right or not. i suppose its up to the rightful owners discretion (sp?)
