Cool! though we do.... (i don't know how much it is) but it's around our big gym and our small (the small is just a small amount less than our big) and we do 18 laps... first time i did 16, second time 18, last time i did 20... im slowly reaching around the top of the class, but im above average TheSmile.gif

anyway, congrats! if you follow into track, you could go far!

Nice... we don't do 1 mile or 2 miles, we do 1.5 miles... got about 15 minutes.

Keep working on your running.

Cool, you could be a good person on the track team. I also did the mile run a while ago and got 6 or 7 something. I forget since it was a while ago. The record for our school is 4 minutes and 45 seconds, lol. biglaugh.gif

Hey all,

I'm in track, and I run long distance biglaugh.gif. My mile time was 5:32 so far this year, and my 2 mile was 11:43. My half mile is 2:18. The other day, our coach timed our 5 mile practice run, and I got 32 minutes. I think our best half mile time is 1:54. Our best 2 mile time is like 4:30 something . . . and our best 2 mile is 10:25 I think. biglaugh.gif Keep up the good work guys! If you want to increase your endurance, run a long distance, but to increase your speed, do speed workouts (continuous sprints, timed 400s, etc.) This is really good advice if you're planning on running in the future. Trust me, working out like this will greatly cut your times biglaugh.gif.

Good luck with all your running endeavours,

Well,

This is an update of what I previously posted. We had a track meet tonight, and I PRed again! (Personal Record) I got 5:31 for my mile split in the 2 mile run. My overall time in the 2 mile run was 11:23! biglaugh.gif

Keep up the running guys,

Update!

I ran the 2 mile once again at my last track meet. My 1st mile split was 5:22, and my ending time was 11:20. My 800m run was 2:11, so 3 PRs for me!!! Yippee!
