"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley (Similar to 1984) |
Brave New World.... We had to read that for English and it was confusing and... "wrong".
Oh yeah, we are now reading "To Kill a Mocking Bird" in English (can't remember the author) and it looks like a very good book from what I am reading.
Prey is a good book, Leftyy recommended it to me

But lol I didn't realize there were like 32 books in the Discworld series... I gotta pay more attention

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

i reccomend: michael crichtons 'pray' wilbur smith 'warlock' and 'river god' (pretty high level reading) and patricia cornwell's kay scarpetta series which are in order of latest to earlyest; • Blow Fly • The Last Precinct • Black Notice • Point of Origin • Unnatural Exposure • Cause of Death • From Potter's Field • The Body Farm • Cruel and Unusual • All That Remains • Body of Evidence • Postmortem |
Sounds bloody.

probably.... well.... most likely. wasnt dracula english? but ill warn ya, the books are graphic in places so stay away if you cant handle that sort of stuff. but non of them are graphic in the secsual way. just blood, gore and death. (you know, i think you may be right) and there pretty thick too. warlock makes the 5th harry potter book look like a childs colour picture book.

I'd say read books like Devil's Arithmetic and Number the Stars if you like holocaust books.

Oh I just remembered some other really good books. It is in a series so....
"Tales of the Otori" by Lian Hearn
Book 1. Across the Nightingale Floor
Book 2. Grass for his Pillow
Book 3. Brilliance of the Moon
That is a really good series and I'm just reading the 3rd one at the moment. Got it from the library on Friday and have to return it by Monday so I am frantically reading but I am already half way through.
