I was just thinking about something...I'm not 100% sure but I figured I'd give it a shot.

What do you think about a Stand-in-admin so-to-speak.

An admin to deal with problem people.

Example: Someone coming here and doing nothing but advertising for something.

...Or an admin to help Cspace with stuff. Cspace gives him a to-do-list maybe and can help with that stuff. Cspace is very busy, and to remove some pressure from him would do him good. I have nothing against our Lord almighty (lol)

This new admin might be able to do Mod updates, but he'd have to run it by Cspace first. This new admin might help revive the garden system or a new ranking system, even. They can also hold new marquee contests, and the like.

I have a few ideas for who could do this...No one who has any grudges or anything (I'm out of the picture, don't worry bluetongue.gif ), not someone too Right-Winged and quick to ban (there goes me again and KC bluetongue.gif ), and not someone too liberal (Serph already out of town anyways bluetongue.gif ).

Comments? Suggestions? Hate mail?

I don't think anyone could really be trusted with Admin abilities...I think it's better just to stick with Cspace.

Yes, trust noone. A bad/hacked admin account could screw the forums. Better to stick with his majesty bluetongue.gif

Alignment: Light
Xanthor Drathos - Sorceror
Class info:
Sorcerer: Like wizards, but bound to darkness. Sorcerers practice spells of destruction and darkness. Like wizards, they are physically weak, though can do massive damage if given the chance to cast a spell.
- Intelligence Effect (per point): Decreases EP consumption of abilities by 15
- Strength Effect (per point): Normal attack DP + 2

Race: Dark Elves: Diverging into the path of Darkness at an undetermined date during the Second Age, Dark Elves have become one of the few true evil races in Earthia. They consider Undead to be below them, and scowl at all races and classes not allied with Darkness. While they are not known to hide in the shadows like other Dark races, they are probably one of the most capable of directly harnessing the dark powers of the world to do their bidding.
- For Dark classes: Intelligence + 10; At a post count of 4000, Intelligence + 20 instead

Won't happen. Cspace only uses the admin panel and his account on certain computers. It is a security risk for anyone to do it, even Cspace.

*watches Star trying to figure out the admin panel*

Hehe...

What Base says is true though, it's best just kept with Cspace only.

You're all forgetting we do have 2 admins bluetongue.gif .

Rylkan aside though, there are benefits and disadvantages to this idea. It is a security risk, whoever it was would have to be very careful. I can only think of one or two people I'd want as a third Admin, actually. On the top of the list is probably MoS. He's pretty much incorruptible, even tempered and isn't likely to do anything without asking Cspace about it first.

I do understand that the risks might outweigh the benefit though.

Though, I admit, Rylkan isn't quite on as much as he used to a few years ago... (bluetongue.gif) As has been said, when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, there are a few issues...

1. Truthfully, in this situation, you can't trust anybody. Something could happen, regardless. The person could be in a conflict and get mad if Cspace or someone yelled at him/her, and decide to take it out on the forum layout or whatever, as a basic example.

2. The incredible demand for it. Start with 2, and a 3rd backup, there will be people who want more, begging "PLZ LET ME B AN ADMIN PLZ PLZ PLZ!!!" It won't be a bit problem, but I'm sure it'll get annoying grnwink.gif

3. Confusion or decisions made without Cspace's consent could be made. Confusion, as in not exactly sure what a function does, and messing something up while testing it, or making forum or mod decisions without consent of Mr. Leader his Cspaceness. bluetongue.gif

Just a little idea of problems. While I can't say I'd hate being a backup Admin ^_^ I still must say it's not as feasible as it sounds at first.

Not needed, our one and only admin, but Hyper and MoS would be top of my list. (Bleh, Em wouldn't be able to figure anything out bluetongue.gif )
