and solidus is dead. you cant forget that. but i heard its just a re-make of metal gear, for the genecast or whatever it was made on originally where you have to infiltrate outer haven and bring it down. but my sources are about as reliable as windows ME.

it is big boss acording to Playstation magazine so get over it and its set in 1964 solidus dies a tad later *cough* 2009 *cough*. (could be wrong - explained later)

Snake and liquid probably AREN'T ALIVE at this time so that rules that out so i'd say its big boss or some random guy....O.K?

*phew* anyway couple more details....
you are sent into the jungle where you must find out about a new kind of weapon that has been developed by a russian scientist.

This is a nuclear capable tank (but not a walking one) and is the link between artillery and infantry according to the scientist who calls it a 'metal gear'.

the last words that gray fox says when he's captured in outer heaven are 'metal gear' and with psm i got a demo disc showing you the customary goes on forever 15 minute mgs3 trailer for e3.

In this trailer you see snake or person type thing lying on the ground as he gasps 'metal gear'.

problems with that are that there are about 30 years difference and his code name was 'fox' in the demo it is 'snake'.
