Hope you return safely.

I'll send this to GD, this seems like it could be pretty serious.

I live in Naples Fl (Around the Place hurricane Charley murdered). I think the hurrican is goona come more towards me than you, because the weather people are almost always wrong at predicting where hurricanes go, and they say it is "wobbeling" which is what they said when the last hurricane (Charley) hit us, and they were wrong it came straight for us.

In the Chicago Tribune it said Hurricane Frances will hit from Florida to South Carolina shore on Saturday, and it'll be big. Expect 160-180 mph winds, and who knows how much rain.
And now we have the quote of the day, from greenl2l: PLONGED!!!

Eep.. I hope everything goes alright, along with everyone else in the hurricane's path. If 'Frances' hits FL, that means I'll probably only get rain from it since I live in SC.. My Dad has kept watching the track of it lately, and he says it won't hit on the south corner of SC.. Hopefully icon_sweatdrop.gif Big hurricane, Category 4.. Me'll stay safe, and you guys Stay safe.

Just in case, if you're staying, I really would keep a flashlight around, plus if there's a chance it'll hit, bar the windows.

If it comes over the east to the west coast, I expect to get hit pretty bad in Tampa.

Today in programming class, me and some friens got a picture of the hurricane's path and made it go where WE wanted it to go. We had it circle around florda a few times, go back to where it started, and go back over the same path. Lol. It was cool cause it looks real. If I can I'll upload it from school to show you guys.

Down here we got hit bad. People's screens over there pools were found like 500 feet away. Sucks for them. I live on the golf course, and all the tree's and branches from them came into MY yard. Guess who had to spend the next day cleaning it up. I was lucky though I got my Power back that friday night the hurrican hit. And like 2 miles away some friends didn't have power for a week! Really sucks for them cause it was REALLY hot that week.

But yeah I think the hurrican is gonna jit Miami, come through and hit where I'm at a cat. 3, go over the gulf, speed up right on the shore of where I live and just really hit us hard. Look at me I sould like a weather man, just guessing. If you notice there is ALWAYS a 50% chance of rain. rofl.gif

Yeah, we have some problems here in Miami since we aren't more than 10 feet above sea level. Downtown Miami could easily be flooded. I'm not too worried since I have a block house, hurricane shutters, and I'm pretty well guarded by other homes. My roof can take 160MPH sustained winds, so that isn't a problem at all.

I actually have to work the days it is hitting so I won't be around my house. We aren't allowed to patrol when winds are over 45 MPH sustained, but the damage will be massive no matter what.

I'm not too worried, but those who live on the beach and those with pre-fab homes should worry. If you do live in Florida, stay safe. thumb.gif

My grandparents live in the Datona Beach area, and their house is still recovering from water damage from Charlie...They're probably gonna evacuate up to our house (in Alabama, we might get hit, but, not nearly as hard).

Unless it changes course it'll be going right over me (somewhat north of Orlando). I expect to be helping the zoo get ready again since this one's worse than the last. Not much to do at home though.

Kind of a strange feeling, my class is cancelled tomorrow (and it's too bad 'cause that's the one I like batter)
