Well... We did it. For everyone on these boards between 12:00 and 12:30 EST, good job.

For all that weren't here... Between 12:00 and 12:30pm EST, I encouraged all SeeDs not to post: As a virtual moment of silence, in dedication of rememberance to those who gave their lives to save others on September 11th, 2001. Today is the third anniversery of the World Trade Center attacks, and everyone sure did their part. For half an hour, the post count of the boards stood at a standstill, showing 140,858 for 30 minutes. I am very proud of everyone who took part. You certainly did these peoples' spirits a kindness.

As for you who weren't here, while you didn't get a chance to take part in this, I am sure you are thinking of these people, and I respect that. If not... well, I suppose that's your choice.

In remembrance,
Hyperfried

'Aye, this was a great show of consideration. Great Idea, and thanks to everyone who held back their urges to post TheSmile.gif

I'd also just like to add a few images in this post, all of which symbolize the great tragedy of 9/11, the loss... and the rebirth.

Sorry that I couldn't take part in my own idea sad.gif I was called at 4 this morning because my friend's mother is very ill and he called me to take his shift for the day so I worked from 5AM until 2PM. I did stop this morning around 9 and surprisingly, a good majority of the people on the road pulled over behind me and I got out and stood for a few minutes in silence, same with all the others who stopped.

Its great to see that Americans can agree on atleast one thing and that is to stand strong.

As much as I feel for the people killed on September 11th, and I agree the half hour of silence was a good thing, people should try not to dwell on it too much as it won't bring all those people back, and it just depresses us all. The first anniversery maybe, but I think we should be more positive and think what these people did for the world when they were alive.

I also wonder why the american government get so scared on september 11th because you could die at any time, and 9/11 has happend and was chosen as a random day.

Sorry if this offends anyone, and even more sorry to the people who lost their lives and their freinds and families.

Odd though, because one of my teachers died on the 11th just gone.
If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

If that was the case we wouldn't have vetreans day and
memorial day, those days and others are to remember
the great losses this country has suffered, although it
sometimes depresses people, it is needed to re-pay the
people who risk their lifes every day protecting our country...
although, I didn't really try to show respect on 9/11 or anything,
it's bad because it affected mostly all of the United States, but I
guess I'm not too good at remembering that...
