It's going to be a couple more years now before Cspace gets the DarkStorm game up and ready, so it would be great if we put more effort into the RPG. it has a lot of potential and just needs some work.

First off, we need more DarkStorm moderators that can make quests, NPC's, bleh bleh bleh. The players are too quick for the ones we have. bluetongue.gif Also, a new system of roleplaying and questing needs to be made. We can't just have quests where the maker pretty much tells you what to do throughout the whole thing or everyone has to fight a big monster. We need to roleplay, put everyone's minds to work and make it interesting.

So stories need to be made, special things you have to do to move on that the players need to figure out. Ask the right questions and do the right things. And so that the players can fit into the story, histories should be given to the players. Pre-made histories for certain classes and races. This way everyone doesn't just appear out of nowhere with no place in Earthia. An example his Hyperfried/Terakuu having a history of becoming king and being king of Frionia.

There could also be secret parts of players histories they're not told about and need to find out on their own through questing. Also, players will have special items that only they have because of their life and place. There could also be items they can get from quests that only they can. It gives the players importance in the game. So histories should be made for each combination of races and classes so that when someone chooses the classes, race, etc. then they get the history.

As most know, many go inactive in this game, so we can have occasional times when everyone needs to re-sign up to the game so that we know who's active. And at these times you can choose a different class and race, too, or just keep the one you have.

Ds is messed up now. Before I thought Str increased your normal attack and abilities but XZ says it only effects your normal attacks so now it's just really, really stupid.

Heh, I asked Cspace about that,and he said XZ was right.


And to Dragon, I asked Cspace about what you said, and he said he would update the forum rpg after the SeeD website was complete, with new mods, races, traders having the ability to make items, and such.

I'm not a player, but I'll reply here anyway (going for the record of having been the only person to post in every suggestion bluetongue.gif ).

Sounds like your idea has been pretty much accepted, Draggy! TheSmile.gif

Still, this might be a good chance for you guys to brainstorm any further ideas that would be good to include, so that Cspace knows what people want.

I'd have to say that stalls and all moneies and "mod-made" items should be taken out with the new update since traders are being put into play. They should be the only ones who can set up stalls and start a system of monies. bluetongue.gif (That's how one of my teachers used to spell it.)

Actually that is fairly likely. As I look around at some items I guess you could say that some are... well... kinda unbalanced. It will also cause confusion with "real items" and "GM items". Also, we need to eliminate GM control over everything and let things go into the players' hands to the greatest possible extent.

Not to mention, there will be some continuity here with the game actually being developed. grnwink.gif

(although, some player-made aspects and events could find their way into mention in AoA, we'll have to see though)

Sorry that the DStorm update keeps being delayed though. After the SeeD update it is my first priority. TheSmile.gif

Also, as for putting control into the players' hands as well, I got ideas for that. Mainly been working on types of spells including Summoning, Elemental, Attack/Defense, and Conversion spells. I'm going to explain the an Item Enchantment spell though.

Basically, if an item is enchanted, it's either a level 1, 2, or 3 enchantment. The level is based on the power. All classes that can cast item enchantment spells can only go up to level 2 enchantments (and enchanting an item would probably require some 'ingredients' of a sort). Level 3 enchanted items could only be acquired from completing difficult quests. Also, if an item is enchanted, it costs more at stalls of course. grnwink.gif

We need to keep the items balanced like you said, Cspace. Look at RuneScape for example. Simple swords that get better by what they're made out of. Simple axes, maces, etc.. It's confusing when you've got unknown potions, gems, and all sorts running around. bluetongue.gif
