We're not stupid, just weird bluetongue.gif

-mm/dd/yyyy
-Imperial measurement (inches)
-American English ("color" instead of "colour")
-Our president (whoops, that one does fall under "stupid")
-Etc
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Meh, I think our stupidity (err, craziness) comes from invaders from planet Eorthe. They landed here, somewhere in Texas or something (has to be a desert, those Eorthians like dry places), and they possessed a few strategically chosen politicians in high places. They also opened the first McDonalds, created the XFL, and invented velcro. Now Eorthian zombies are leading our nation, whether it be the government, store managers, or school principals. They're transforming us... Into the ultimate species of super-sized lizards or something! Definitely not "girly men" (except Cres), but instead an expansionist species of zombie lizards who eat brains for lunch and dinner (but PhietaFlakes for breakfast).

So beware, and when you see one of these zombie lizards, don't tell them about crazy ol' Cspace who already warned you (or they'll eat my brain too)!

As a matter of fact, regarding a few "differences" that Americans use, I recall back to math class in fifth grade...

Really, our math teacher was addressing us on how much more unusual our imperial systems are than metric. Think about measurements, for example. Unlike the even 1,000 milimeters, 100 centimeters, 10 decameters, etc. in a meter, Americans, however, need to resort to the hard way, with 12 inches per foot, 3 feet per yard, 5,280 feet per mile. God.

It also works for other things, including the date. Still, I at least can handle the date how it is grnwink.gif

You yanks are such weirdos. Most of you think Australians live in the Outback and are 1000kms from civilization (I got asked how we go shopping when I went to Florida crazy.gif ). Also what really kills me is your measurement, The metric system is so much easier to adapt to.

Actually, the metric system isn't necessarily easier to get adapted to, although it would abviously be easier to use once you were. I'm starting to get the hang of it but I still convert in my head. I think it depends when you learn the system and how much you actually use it.

I like the definition for a meter though: the distance light travels in a vacuum during one vibration of a cesium (I think) atom (Grr, can't find any site that says, they just give an impossibly small fraction of a second).

Why is it necessary to stick so many u's everywhere and use s when a z suits the word?
