Today was... interesting. For some strange reason, I chose to wake up at 4:00 AM, which leads me to believe I've been hanging around with you insane people too long. Next, I got ready and headed over to school to catch the bus. Then our vehicle full of insane OBGs (Original Band Geeks) took a ~2 hour drive to Berkeley, California.

We got there a little after 7 AM, unpacked and set up our instruments, and headed to California Memorial Stadium... where we met with a bunch of other HS bands from around NorCal. We learned about what would be going on for the rest of the day, and practiced running on and off the field. Lesson learned: it's a bit difficult to get a field full of people who don't know each other to play in sync...

Anyway, we left our stuff behind and went on a tour of UC Berkeley (or simply "Cal" if you will). Pretty cool place, actually. And it's big.

Came back to the stadium around 11:30 AM and headed into the stands. We ended up changing seats four times because of a screwup with the tickets... but no worries, eventually we got settled, and actually ended up in the shade which was nice bluetongue.gif A bit before halftime we got up and headed around the side of the stadium to the North gate. When halftime came along, the cheerleaders performed, then Cal's band performed, then we came out. First we played "Jump" by Van Halen, then "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith, then Cal's fight song, "Big C." Ran off the field, and got food. Mmm, overpriced Subway.

We ended up leaving somewhere around 5 PM. Cal beat Oregon 28 to 27 TheSmile.gif

Sorry if this makes no sense; I've had almost no sleep this week and I've been up for *checks clock* about 17 hours.
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.
