Australians don't really have 'lunchrooms', we have canteens where you can buy your lunch, but no tables or anything. They don't do fast food, but they have sausage rolls, hot dogs etc.

Cafeteria food in the US only has to meet nutrition requirements, not taste.
If I ever eat lunch, I just order Chinese from the place down the street.

Yeah, it's quite good. A little on the expensive side though, considering how little effort goes into most of it. If I get something from there I usually get fish and chips, or wedges, or something like that. Oh, and I hear the gelati they recently started selling is really good.
Lol, I rarely ever eat lunch, unless my friends give me a few Reeses from the snack machine..

Lol, thanks to my mom's student (my mom's a nutritionist) we don't have any more snack machines! Because it's been proven that people who drink more "artificial fruit drinks" are fatter than people who don't drink them.

We call it the same thing over here in England.. well my school did.
Ugh, my college Refectory's rubbish. There used to be two, the main one and the smaller one I used to go to, 'cept mine closed down. Now the main one is just crowded, and the food's nowhere near as goodl. Good thing my college is right on the outskirts of town.. Just ten minutes away from KFC, McDonalds or various Chip Shops and Sandwich Bars
