hey i know haw we can get SeeD cleaned up from all thease rule breakers!

lets hold polls for the people we think should be banned and we vote in the polls yes thise person should be banned for life or no thise person should not be banned for life or...

we should make thease polls and leave it up to the people we can also pin them and make thair expiry date in 1 week! and then we can get somone els we whant to bann him on and see if he will get banned from the people each week! so then the people that would be banned would know all of us did it also we would only have the poll and nothing els like you tell why you banned that person so the person that gets banned and comes back doesnt inflict pain on us!!!

S-mods know the reasons to ban people, and they do a good job of doing it.

Fraid not Bes, that wouldn't be fair on people.

For instance, there have been quite a few people that don't like you due to your spelling. If there was a poll on you, those people would all vote for you to be banned, and there'd be a pretty good job you'd get banned forever. I think you agree that wouldn't be fair, you just don't seem to see that it applies to others too.

Oh, and there's a rule listed that you can't try to get people banned through polls or otherwise, too.

Something you must know Bespenta, is that this plan is completely flawwed. People can use it to get a point across and ban those whom they hate. Perhaps you were trying to do it for you, or perhaps for other people, to no avail, I assure you, it will NOT happen.

Oh, and, why is this very important?

-bannings are based on rule breaking.

-smods know what the rules are and when they are broken.

-smods are smods becuase they deserve it.

-If there is a question as to weather a smod has done they're job correctly, it can be addressed in many ways.

-leaving desitions up to the individual memeber, the popular vote, and potently the mob mentality is not a good idea. becuase personal views come into play.

-leaving it up to the apointed people, is good becuase they go by weather a rule has been brocken or not, and becuase they are in the spotlite, with there decistions chyances are they wont let personal feelings have wait as it would definately be brought up(when your watched by every one it serves you best to do anything to jepordise public opinion of you).

- we dont vote on who is in charge of anything or at what lvl of charge they have, becuase we didnt make the site. cspace(and the people who helped him--if any did...I dont know--) did, this site is a property, and an owner knows what is best for his own land you, and knows how to cultivate it the rite way better then any one else, you could say.

.....Basicaly bes, the system works. However, I do think it would be a good idea for there to be a board, that notifies people in seed about who has been banned, why, and when. On such a board people could express there opinion, about decitions that have already been made. just so people know whats up...awareness or something lol...I dont know it might be dumb idea after all. but it is just an idea...or maybe just declassifie posts from moderator discution on an anual bases(when anything said is way in the past), just so people get a better idea of how descitions are come to, and if they are unclear about anything that had happend during the past year(like a specific reason for a ban or removal of something) it would clear it up. Of course doing something like that you would havta make sure that the topics de-classified are far enough into the past that they likely wont be revived for the purposes of arguing points. So if anything like that could be done anualy then it would prolly have to be a release of info over 6-8 months old, and it would prolly be a good idea to only let them be view and not replied or posted on....but like I said they are just ideas.
