So i heard about this program i might buy if its legal. HDD Advance copies games into a USB card which can hold 60gb. it is $39.99 and if i rent games such as killzone gta etc. and copy it into the usb card is that legal?

HDD works like u copy the disk into the the usb port and when u return the game u can load the game thru the USB port. i m wondering if its legal cuz its being sold at a website

Edit: only works on ps2

If it's for copying ps2 games, I doubt it'd be legal. That or the product is legal, but actually copying the games would be illegal.

Mod chips are legal as long as you own the copied games you play.

If you download games and burn them to disk (and do not have a real copy of the game) and play them, or rent them, copy them, then return the game...

thats illegal.... So in a way having a mod chip is legal unless your using it for the wrong reason. Alot of people only buy the chips to play games they dont own, thats why mod chips may become illegal

Hehe, sounds illegal to me alright. bluetongue.gif technically, if you've ever rented a computer game, or gotten one from a library, and then copied it without their permission...That's -supposedly- illegal. You can't do much in these days without breaking the laws. That's why I always bend them.

Perfecto.

There's nothing stopping you from copying games you don't own, but yeah, it would be illegal.

The thing about buying products online, even through paypal, is you never know if you will get the product and even if you do they could be scamming you and planning to report you later (To the law) ...okay that was stupid right there too much random sprite today sorry about that but the only thing "somewhat" true about this post would be:

I'd be surprised if the copying of the games was legal, although there's really nothing stopping you from doing it...

And so I produce a question for you...

Aren't we all doing something illegal, or haven't we all?

Hell.. I'm the king of Law-Breaking...

Burning CD's is illegal, I'm sure alot of people have copied CD's though you never see police busting in your house and taking your hard drive.
