If you bought a preassembled computer it probably came with a CD labeled "System Recovery" or somesuch. Usually it has instructions printed on the label. Follow those and your hard drive will be erased, then filled with whatever was on it when you bought it.

If you don't have a Recover disk but do have your Windows CD (XP, right?), just reinstall Windows. Insert your CD and run setup.exe from it. Click "Install Windows XP," then choose "New Installation (Advanced)." During the process it asks if you want to reformat; say "Yes." If you're not using XP, the process is similar.

Due to the hassle involved (backing up what you want to save; reinstalling drivers and programs) I don't recommend doing this unless you absolutely have to... unless of course you're used to it and clean-box regularly (my brother's friend is insane and does this every week Whatever_anim.gif)
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

bes, if you just have crappy computeritus(computer eye tus), like me. just upgrade or get a new computer. or if you have a bunch of viruses & spyware, like me (over 56 different spy programs and counting + klez & many others too) get a good virus/spyware removal program. but be careful! i got a virus removal program erased all the viruses and lost 2000 of 35000 files (almost nothing works any more icon_sweatdrop.gif)

bluetongue.gif Or if you were really desperate, get a huge magnet and rub it around on your PC...Ofcourse, you'll never use the computer again... rofl.gif

Honestly though, you people should keep magnets as far away from computers as you can. ShiftyEyes_anim.gif Even by your monitor...The magnets will distort colors and textures, and on TV's too...

Overclocking invilves the processor clock, not the date/time clock.
