Nice nice... Alienware is great, though rather expensive, and laptops are almost always good (never heard of Acer though).

Meh. No new christmas comp for me, though I'm fairly sure I'm getting a DVD-ROM drive (don't think it'll be a burner).
Those who will remember, will speak fondly of the warm morning breeze.

Acer is actually quite big over here, I used to have a Acer laptop but I sold it and bought a Toshiba, dad made the ugly choice of buying a Dell...

My DVD-ROM drive is still at the office packaged, I'm going to picking it up next week and puting in the custom computer (the DVD-ROM will be filling my last slot)

I've got an Acer Travelmate 270, as does Rat.

They're alright, although I've seen quite a few minor hardware faults... The screen's wiring becoming loose and erratic, the touchpad mouse button falling out, etc. Only with a lot of use, but it's still a little worrying.
