I like it. Bottom line. Am I addicted? No. But I find it quite interesting. First off, it's a platformer RPG. On an MMO scale. At first, I honestly though it was the stupidest game ever, but it has grown on me quite a bit. It still needs tweaking, like shooting arrows up and down, and I think the levelling needs a smidge of work, but I think all great games start out needing some work. Another thing that bugs me is the community. While I think it is a nice one, the ability to chat has been severly hindered since you need to click to start a little flashy text-maker. <-Wow, I think I need to sig that. Anyways, that may not seem like a small problem at first, but it sure will be annoying when you need to talk to someone on the fly while fighing some rather fierce monsters.

I give Maplestory 7.5 out of 10.

Maybe more after it is tweaked.

Yeah, but it still makes it difficult to chat while you're doing other things. bluetongue.gif

I can't think of an obvious solution to let people continue to use the keyboard for shortcuts while making chatting easier, but I'm sure if they were locked in a room, force-drank coffee and told they weren't allowed out until they worked it out, that they could come up with a good solution. grnwink.gif

Nice review Sproogle thumb.gif

I really have to agree with you, the chatting system is quite annoying... biglaugh.gif

And even using ranged attacks (arrows/magic/throwing stars etc.) up and down and stuff would be a good idea biglaugh.gif - might make it a bit easy for people to train on stuff though... through the ground and stuff bluetongue.gif
Empty sig is empty.

I meant the up-down attacks on emimies from a different plane are iffy, most of the time you can end up shooting off a ton of arrows that go straight, as opposed to diagonla. So annoying.
