First, the answer to the last one.
Mt. Gulug in FFIX
The name "Gulug" was borrowed and retranslated from "Gurgu" Volcano in FFI. The music was also remixed from the same volcano.
So, the answers
- Name and music
- FFI
- Gurgu Volcano

It's like Whack-A-Mole, except ... they're kangaroos. Yup.
Anyway.
I'm going to ask a question about a game everyone posting here seems to know, and yet it's a question no one will get! 'Cause it's based on history and stuff.
Regarding Wutai
What war did the war between Wutai and the Shinra represent, considering it from Shinra's perspective? What war did it represent, considering it from Wutai's perspective?
No one is going to get this.

From the perspective of Wutai, this might also seem like WW2, but it is also like the native american genocides in the 19th century. This is where the indians got decimated, and now are forced to live off of casinos (like Wutai's tourist business).

The people under Shinra's rule have a view regarding the war in Wutai similar to the view many in the US had regarding the Vietnam War. People being sent off to some far-off Asian country for seemingly no reason. So, from Shinra's perspective, it represents Vietnam.
From Wutai's perspective, Wutai represents China, and the Shinra the British. The war between them could be considered equivalent to the Opium Wars; China was forced primarily by the British to change its policies of isolationism, its people were vastly shamed, and the Boxer Rebellion intended to "drive the white devil" from Chinese land as well as rebel against Chinese support of foreigners is very similar to Yuffie's attitude toward her father and other Wutai people that support the Shinra. Thus, Wutai from its own perspective represents China after the Opium Wars.
I don't think anyone else would've gotten this one...
Meh, new question now...
