About a week ago i had no working mouse for my comp...

so i wanted to post here letting some others know how to work they're comp in the event of such a happening(becuase I know how bad it was for me, and I had to figiure all this out)....it is a simple setting you can do now to ensure you have use of your cursor if you mouse is down for the count...

go to- My Computer>Controll Panel> Accessibility Options> Mouse.

once there enable the"use mouse keys" check box(this will mean you can use the numeric key pad on your key board to make the cursor move). then go to its "settings" button, to select the specifics of how you would like it to behave. Such as its top speed and how fast its gets going, mand weather it is useable when num lock is on, or when it is off. all numbers exept "0" and "5" on your numeric pad will then be able to move your cusor in a direction(even numbers such as 1 and 7---they move it diagonaly)

you can also use tab keyto jump through clickable things in a window(this only moves downward, use shift+tab to move up again), and use keys with pictures on your keyboard to open your start bar(that is of course the windows icon key), and on most all keyboard they're is another one(the picture varies) that alows you to open a rite click box...once in either such boxes arrow keys and can be used(up down to scroll through folders, and when a folder has a sub sedction push left or rite, and enter once over desired folder/program).

I hope this helps some one someday... I know that i for one like to learn from others mistakes, so i can prepare my self not to fall into the same problemes.

I have a few spares. I tend to use a lot of quick key commands anyway, especially when programming... here are the three basics:

ctrl+C or ctrl+insert= Copy
ctrl+V or shift+insert= Paste
ctrl+X or shift+delete= Cut

(the latters were used for old DOS programs)
