*THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS ARE FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SOMEONE WHO ENJOYS KILLING ENEMY SOLDIERS RATHER THAN ACTUALLY TRYING TO TAKE THE FLAG AND WIN*

I find the weakest part of a castle is the walls. Lower levels tend to go up there since they feel they can't actually help the team out except by using the catapult and shooting arrows. So when a group of elite enemy warriors pops up, they tend to get cut down.

For catapults, just take a tinderbox, dont wast potions on it. A tinderbox is basically an endless supply of potions.

One thing I have noticed about my stats is quite funny. My attack and defence are 62, and my strength is 63. Now, all these high level players who think def is only good for getting armor are dead wrong, and I have finally proved it. When I fight a high lvl, they can barely touch me, and when I look up poeple's stats on the highscores list, they usually have crappy def, but great everything else. My message is: Train your stats equally. Time consuming, yes, but it makes you a helluva lot harder to kill, as I have found out.

Generally, you need really good ranged to actually hurt something, or you need to use good arrows, which is something few are willing to do.

High Defence makes them hit more 0s and less strong hits so basically defence can counter attack levels.

I have to agree with obiwans comment...evenyone just goes and does there own thing without any sort of plan....A couple of times I was able to hold the big door closed the whole game and it seems to really decrease the number of opponents that get in. Then other times nobody listens to me and everyone just keeps opening the door which ended up letting tons of opponents in.

I've gave up on castle wars for a little bit, until it dies down and the teams are smaller. I'm hoping then that everyone will play a little more of a plan and there wont be as many noobs in the game.

My team messes me up in the worst ways possible. They put a barricade in front of me when I have the flag.

Thats another point. little to no players in castle wars (that dont have friends on the same side) dont use teamwork. They can hardly grasp the concept of the word. one person probably has an awesome strategy worked up in his head, but nobody else listens. most people do a horrible job when placing barricades, people fire the catapults when a majority of teammates are under it.

in the preliminary stages, when everyone is in that little room, most people are asking things like:

"How r u sheep/"
OMG we have a high lvl wer gonna own!"
down with Saras! down with Zammys!!"

and dont work up battle plans in their head. if you had one person to actually LEAD a castle "WAR" than it would be better IMO

(If people would also LISTEN to that leader.. that would help too..)
Overwhelmed as one would be, placed in my position.

OH.....MY......F******......GOD......

Last night, I had the BEST game of castlewars EVER!

The teams were about 20 people per side, and OH MAN did everyone work together. We started by barricading the gate and side door, and no one rushed the enemy base! So when they enemy rushers arrived, we easily pushed them back, since the walls were the only weak point. Then, a small force of higher level players, including myself, all attacked through the tunnel and came up in the middle structure. There were TONS of enemies. I quickly pmmed our catapult guy, and had him and his crew unload a barrage into the center when the kill team cleared it. We roped and climbed the wall. Took it, then proceeded to take the enemy flag and use the tunnels to escape. From there, we just played heavy defence. Final score: 0 to 1, we win.

It was a masterpiece.

All the stupid low level 20's and stuff always destroy the barricades like the other day, we had the guy with our flag stuck in the room with the trap door into the respawn area and he couldnt go down there so we barricaded everywhere around the door so he cant get out. Then some stupid little noob runs in destroys all the barricades tries to kill him and dies suprisingly. Then the guy simply ran out and the score then became 4-3 to them and we lost all because of that stupid level 20 sad.gif

well since i'm sort of back..dont know if i am really, thought i quit but then so did a load of other people who er haven't quit...i may try and get something up.

Anyway i've easily scored 20+ times and so can..anyone

If your attacking
At the start run and grab...

6 explosive potions
1 climbing rope
21 bandages
or 20 bandages and a barricade

then go to the unlockable door..don't open it but click somewhere on the map past it and you just seem to walk through...don't know if that still works..

anyway just leg it through the centre castle to the opponents walls

If a door is open use it, if a rope is there use it, if neither are use your rope with battlements and climb up. However you get in procede up the stairs to the top levelblowing up barricades with explosive potions.

I presume by the fact that you collected the items someone will already have captured the enemies flag so climb up to the top level and then go straight back down again. If there were a lot of enemies there dont go back up but if there are barricades up there go up use an explosive potion on them and climb back down.
If there are no enemies up there or they are already distracted by your team mates stay at the top level and wait. By this point i am also assuming you have 2 empty spots in your inventory if not drop the rope if you still have it or a bandage. When the flag respawns grab it (or go up and grab it). Then climb down and get protect from melee on. Continue climbing down and heal when needed. when you get to the enemies respawn area head down the LADDER. If you have people chasing you set up the barricade in the doorway to the store room. Then run for the mines. If you used the barricade or not you probably have some empty space between you and the attackers so if you want to conserve prayer turn it off now. Anyway run up either path and if the rocks are there use 2 explosive potions to remove them. When in the centre go down the clearest path and climb up the ladder. Then leg it up to the top floor of your castle to score. Simply rinse and repeat to hopefully store loads.

NOTE - those with a faster connection may wish to jump the stepping stones as this will also open up a large gap between your persuers if done correctly.

Defending
Coming when i can be bothered

Oh and like my sig?
