yes i have gotton a new laptop but i stell whant somthing to do with my only comp so i was thing of spending a cupple dollers (like $100) so i can make it not lagg so i was wondering what can i do to it (add membory chips ect...)

As Ferret said, if you want to make it faster, I suggest adding more RAM 
You could also upgrade hard drive space if wanted....
However, one thing you can't do is upgrade the video or graphics card. (Same thing, btw.) Laptops can't handle that. Stupid 18MB graphics...

if you mean on an online game i would say broadband(or T1 if u can afford it...300 a month i think). if u mean normal stuff i would say 1 gigabyte of (i think you can go up to 5gb)ram
ora new processor(or faster).
or if u want to get stupid & for some reason you have a lot of money lying around then get two 500gb harddrives (1 terrabyte) wont affect speed though but youll need more than 100 though.....that crap is expensive

my friend has a laptop that can handle EQ2... but that's a difrent story entirely. (it was expensive, and special ordered)
if you want to play stuff like EQ and other good MMORPG's like that, you need a regular PC, or a VERY expensive laptop.
but if you're lookig for a simple upgrade to reduce "lag" well, that depends, if your talking about lag in launching programs like Word or other non-game things, Memory is nice, if ofline games are lagging, memory also might help. but if your talking about lag in runescape, the only thing that will realy help is a better internet conection.

we were talkin bout this stuff in seed inn> runescape(capital)> "lad...an explination". maybe a quick read there bes, would help you prevent alot of lag in the first place so you can save your money.
