Some of a warrior's abilities will be worked on a bit, but this is basically where a warrior is strong:
- Strength is greatest asset. Not as visible until a certain point, when suddenly you look and see that every 10 strength points give you 100 DP on top of your weapon's effect. At a higher level a warrior would be very dangerous.
- Abilities are not as useful as those of other classes, however, almost all of them require no EP.
- Eventually a warrior can equip two 2-handed weapons.
Warriors are not intended to be versatile, but instead specialists in doing constant and heavy damage. If one is a warrior, he/she would focus on doing as much normal physical damage as possible while seeing the potentially strategic uses of the abilities available.
Such as those with effects like interrupting magic.
And also, there are a few abilities which add to a warrior's normal damage, such as a "Weapon's Normal Damage + 100" effect.
If more versatility is what you're after in a melee class, I'd recommend a paladin, ranger, rogue, or shadow hunter.

100DP per 10 Str?!?!
*coughchoke* Well.....That's better than mine...
I'll admit that warriors have ALOT more abilities than more of the "versatile" Classes like Cspace talked about. And yes, most of them require 0EP...
I'll also admit that being a rogue is QUITE versatile....Confusing almost!
I have to keep track of upping Str, Int (every so often), and HP. A rogue is nothing without a decent weapon and some abilities....

Said some things would be modified

But those basic strengths of warriors will still apply, even when things are balanced out a bit. Also, it's not necessarily the number of abilities that makes a class versatile (as you know), but what they can do.

Aye...Eh...I still think that Rogues are a bit skimpy on abilities...Everyone still has more :\ Even though, the way I see it for rogues, is quality over quantity.

Cspace, I think you mean physical classes because Ranger is technically not melee.
So anyway, with the way you put it then, Cspace, a lot of the Warrior skills are literally useless such as Titan Blade, because you lose 1 turn in where you could probably deal more than 1000DP using your normal attack in a turn with no delay.
