this made quite an impact on me...

No superstar in history has made more of an immediate impact than Kane. On October 5, 1997 the world met Kane, as the seven foot monster tore off the door to "Hell in the Cell" in order to get to his brother, the Undertaker. When these two long-lost siblings locked eyes, the Phenom could only stand there in disbelief, but Kane was ready for battle. The younger brother attacked the Man from the Darkside, rendering him unconscious after delivering a "Tombstone Piledriver." It had been over twenty years since these two had been together, but there would be no happy family reunion.

Kane and the Undertaker grew up the only two children in a family which owned and operated a funeral parlor. Like most young boys, these brothers would often get into trouble for touching and playing with things they were not supposed to. After playing with flammable chemicals used for embalming one too many times--it happened. The house and the funeral parlor went down in a raging inferno, killing the father, the mother and presumably Kane. However, the younger sibling miraculously survived that fire, but no one except for the young assistant knew. Paul Bearer has kept Kane in isolation since that day, not letting anyone else know he was alive. Over that time the scarred monster has listened, time and time again, to Bearer recount the story of how that fateful fire began.

According to the bulbous Bearer, he was at school when the fire started. He returned home in time to see the building go down in flames, and saw the Undertaker run off!!! Pointing to what he claims to have seen, Bearer told the world that their beloved Undertaker set the fire purposely to kill his entire family!!!

Under the belief that his brother is a murderer, it is understandable that Kane has entered the Federation with such hate and fury in search of him. Since resurfacing into society, the seven foot monster has annihilated many of the top Federation superstars. Paul Bearer promises that this destruction will continue until Kane gets what he wants--a match with the Undertaker. Bearer has issued many challenges to the Phenom on behalf of Kane, and each time Taker has refused. After luring his older brother into a false hope for reconciliation, Kane and Bearer trapped the Phenom in a casket and set it on fire! Thinking they had successfully destroyed the Undertaker, the two went around the Federation boasting. Then one night in the WAR ZONE, he returned to accept Kane's challenge! The younger brother will finally get the match he has been waiting for at WrestleMania XIV!

EDIT: oh, and here's a link to some pics of him without mask.... http://www.angelfire...ne/gimmick.html

I'm sorry to say, but it's all false. Wrestling is staged. *Most* injuries are real. Wrestling is done by trained professionals. Most backgrounds are fake, too. They aren't wrestling no hard mats. Those mats are padded, and have springs to them. They don't throw people through wooden tables. Those tables are specially made. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

All fake bluetongue.gif I'm personally friends with Sergeant Slaughter and he has told me pretty much everything if I didn't already know it. When I was in college, I would work security for concerts and also wrestling matches, it is all fake.

Their names are fake, their "life stories" are fake, and the fighting is fake. Don't want to bust your bubble, but going into the wrestling career means you need to know how to act, not fight.

Ya, just look at the Rock. He's a major actor after all that practice. bluetongue.gif I personally don't watch it since it's too fake from my perspective with all the acting. The fighting though is great and very realistic. bigcheek.gif

Honestly, I think wrestling is poop. However, seeing as this particular story is true... What a hellish life. Icky_anim.gif I can't say he redeemed himself, because that's the wrong word. I wouldn't be surprised if he fights every time for his family. Touching story. Go Kane! biglaugh.gif

Its good but just to predictable... like the rivalries happen for ages, huge stuff happens, then one fight and they all forget about each other the next night...

I can't see that being a real story. Too many attempted murder charges would come up. The police don't get involved 'cause they know it's fake.

Its a typical fake story. Someone is held in isolation, like breeding. Then they pop out... Ha.

You won't ever be able to find fire marshal's reports (because it never happened)and you can't just say he died in the fire and nobody expect to find proof of this. You don't just hide someone for years, since they are citizens and they don't just disappear. Don't believe what the TV/websites tell you Whatever_anim.gif

I'm hoping you don't believe that those guys actually hit each other. They could kill each other if they actually did what they act out. Also, tables don't break in a nice straight line, saws do that (they just leave the plastic ring around it to hold it up). They don't hit people with chairs either, you would have a broken back and a nice red spot.

You need to use your heads. All those fights back stage... I'm guessing you think that each and every wrestler has a camera on them to catch those? You can't throw people through stages either Whatever_anim.gif

Finally, the ring is a big spring like Serph said, but it is highly padded. They stomp when they hit and I wonder how they do punch people without breaking bones and having bloody hands bluetongue.gif

Like I said, don't believe the whole arson story grnwink.gif

I like wrestling. Whatever_anim.gif
Yeah, I know it's fake, and I hate the lame story lines, but I just like how.... spectacular it all is. Everything is so larger than life and some of those guys have skills like you wouldn't believe! eek4.gif
Ever seen Rey Mysterio? The things he can do are unbelieveable.
I watch it for the 'wow' factor. That's why I usually only watch pay per views. Then there's likely to be something done that just makes you go "wow." Like Mick Foley being thrown off the top of the Hell in a Cell? you can't tell me that didn't hurt him....
Well, at least I'm not one of those hardcore fans that believe it's all real bluetongue.gif they annoy me. But then again, so do people who hate it so much because its 'fake'. So what? It's good entertainment. biglaugh.gif
hehe, ok rant over.

Oh. and Red, I saw that Hell in a Cell match where Kane made his Debut. thumb.gif
