All these questions are being posted and answered while I'm asleep ... blasted Kangaroo Land and it's uber-faraway time zone...

Hmmm, new question I guess.

Maybe a Final Fantasy IX question.

What's special about the combat in Ipsen's Castle, and what can be done to remedy this?

What's weak is strong and what's strong is weak. Thus your strongest physical weapons will do almost no damage.

To remedy this, equip your weakest weapons. Made relatively OBVIOUS by the fact that you can find all the weakest weapons in the castle. Honestly, if they want people to not get stuck, they should at least not give the strategy away so easily...

Actually even with such an easy clue, very few people got it. None of my friends did, same with one or two guides I glanced at afterwards.

Anyway, go ahead with your next question.

I hate calculus.

Figure I'll ask another FFT Question...
Olan Durai. Who was he the adopted son of? What did he write about? Who persecuted him for what he wrote? Who uncovered the truth much later?

Should keep people stumped for a couple days while I think of another question.

Think of a new question, Reggie.

Preferably one that someone other than yourself might know. grnwink.gif

Olan was the adopted son of Count Orlandu. He wrote about what really happened with St. Ajora, how s/he was truly evil and not holy, how the "Holy" Zodiac Stones and their corresponding Zodiac Braves were evil, and how the stories the Glabados Church had told were almost all lies. He was persecuted by the Glabados Church for his beliefs, and his works were confiscated and held for several years. The person that uncovered the truth much later is Alazlam, who tells the "Zodiac Brave Story," the story of Final Fantasy Tactics.

New question!
Where do the following airships get their names (or what are their names taken from), and what Final Fantasy game are they used in?

Enterprise
Falcon
Blackjack
Falcon (again)
Highwind
Ragnarok
Hilda Garde

Setzer owned the Blackjack, and he was a big-time gambler. It was also outfitted with card tables and things. biglaugh.gif

Hilde Garde was named after Hilde, the wife of Regent Cid. That's before she turned him into an oglop. bluetongue.gif

Highwind... Uhh... So the answer isn't that it flew using lots of fans (wind) and flew high? bluetongue.gif
Not sure then, maybe some reference to sailing.

Not entirely sure on the games, but I'll give them a shot.

Enterprise: FFIV
Falcon: FFIV
Blackjack: FFVI
Falcon: FFV
Highwind: FFVII
Ragnarok: FFVIII
Hilde Garde: FFIX

I give up...

Enterprise - FFIV - from Star Trek
Falcon - FFIV - from Star Wars
Blackjack - FFVI - taken from Setzer's gambling-ish personality
Falcon (again) - FFVI - from Star Wars (again)
Highwind - FFVII - Cid Highwind's last name
Ragnarok - FFVIII - "Ragnarok" means "Gift from God." I dunno why I put this one on here, the name doesn't really bear any relevance to the game.
Hilda Garde - FFIX - name of Regent Cid's wife; Hilda later as Goto said turned him into an oglop and stole it; two newer models of the airship were made

I gotta think of a new question now...

Hehe, Since collectively we got everything except Highwind and Ragnarok (and Ragnarok has several different possible meanings, certainly doesn't only mean Gift from God) I think you could probably just give it to somebody else.

Especially since you seem to have no problem getting other peoples questions anyway.

Sparks, Kingdom Hearts was pretty much just swiping names galore from other Final Fantasies. I thought even you would have known that. nonono2.gif grnwink.gif
