youve got the alphabet to choose from, a-z, and then 0-9. 36 diff characters,
4,738,381,338,321,616,896
But then, that only includes the passwords that are 12 characters long.. Youd have to go figure out how many are possible with 11, and 10, etc. etc. until 4.
i think thats on the right track... Anywayz, as i promised a trivia question!!
The score of a baseball game is four to three, in favor of the home team. It is bottom of the eighth inning and yet not one man on either side has reached second base. How can this be?
I expect you all to guess quite a few times...

Lol nah... I guess that they don't get second base... they get full home runs.

Either it's a female team or the females on the team scored the homeruns.

Well, sorta, you got which side should be raised to which power backwards:
4^36 + 5^36 + ... + 11^36 + 12^36 = 7.4x10^38
*checks stats book* Heheh, for a minute I thought it was actually N!/n!(n-N)! but that's for non-replacement (I'm assuming you could choose a password that was all r's for instance) so yeah, the way I just showed is it.
The first number is the number of places you have and the second is the number of possible values for each place.
EDIT:
Argh, I'm the one who has it backwards (didn't realize 'til mile marker 333 going 70-some down 95, hardly a good place to edit a post). *learns to read better*
