This is not a religeuos discusion. and it won't become one. Does any1 think that the movie the pasion of the christ used to much gore? it prevented some people from watching it. and yet i think its the first real dipiction of what crucifixtion would have been. i'm undiseided anyone else have an opionon?

Gore is fun, so there can't have been too much, even though I haven't seen it (It sounds really boring).

um mok maybe i should clarify: only people who have seen it should post here. and trust me the gore in this movie isn't like predator ripping a spine out. its what rome realy used to do. and btw does a movie where they beat the crap out of a guy then nail him to a cross sound boring? not to me.
EDIT: they got a cat of nine tales stuck in his back and ripped it out, its not boring. lol

I wasn't exactly thinking Predator gore, more along the lines of Braindead and Evil Dead.

I think the blood and gore was needed to show how much he had to suffer to save us

I agree, with you, crown. But i still feal that even though it WAS necisary, it still prevented squemish people form watching it. I wouldn't watch it until my family did and told me about it.

I think it needed to be there for some people, others would have gotten the point even if it had been toned down.

you know that they are releaseing a "less gore" variety sometime this year, i beleive it will actualy be coming back to theatres in its "less gore" version.

As South Park has told us, we shouldn't base our religion on how he died but rather how he lived.

Or something along those lines.

If Passion of the Christ isn't offensive, why is that picture offensive? conf.gif
