I'm just glad the movie had subtitles.

I don't think the OTT part was the gore, but the whole point of doing it in those ancient languages.

I agree about the gore, Leftyy, it had to have gore if it didn't then no one would understand what Jesus went through you can't say, "Oh he went through a lot of stuff but we're going to censor it..." No it was censored for too long, because of other older movies, but Mel Gibson (SP?) said if other movies can do it why not The Passion? And as for the language I think that's what set the whole point in motion, if you think about it he made it so the viewer(s) were actually there, not like a movie but actually being there this is what he wanted to do and I personally think it worked -- When I saw it made my cry and feel like I was actually there hearing him, the screams and everything else, it put me in his shoes and the shoes of someone simply watching.... I also enjoyed how he made the mother son relationship even more real, with the flashbacks and them reaching out to hold one another, and I personally feel that really showed something because I'm sure--with all my mind and spirit--that Mary like any other mother would act like that because remember, according to the Bible / Christian religion, Mary knew before He was born that Jesus would die.

I did like it portraying the side we never think of, the normal days in the carpentry shop and those kinda things. BTW the satan charactor had me VERY freaked out. I mean maggots coming out of his nose? WOW! lol. But in some parts it wasn't gory enough, thats why i feal so wierd about this movie. I watched a WWE paperview sunday night and triple H got more bloody in the face than that guy did. So agin for the third time i'm undisided.
