I haven't officially changed the SeeD Headquarters on the site yet, though it will be changed with the next update (probably tomorrow). Dragonman565, Spikeout, and myself went all over the F2P world in search of a better HQ. The following is the story of our short journey:

- We started out trying to meet each other on World 5, but we realized the amount of lag on that server lately. We switched to another server and continued our trek to Rimmington, one of the least populated towns in Runescape.

- We met at a little house by the sea. It was great; fairly large and a nice "view" of the ocean out back... When I realized something. No second floor (or even basement)! This would not do, so we continued to the actual town of Rimmington.

- We checked upstairs, but there are too many houses near each other, no bank nearby, and barely any space to hold events. This would not do either, and where is our promotional aspect in the middle of nowhere?

- We continued to Falador, but when we arrived, we found that clans from all over Runescape use this town as their HQ... almost like a perpetual war among around 75% of the clans. "This is our HQ, get out!", "No it isn't, we already planned this event!", "But you can't take it from us!", "Oh yes we can! Meet us in the wilderness..." Good thing we weren't involved in that, the two clans were never heard from again.

- Since Falador is too populated, we set out on a long journey to Varrock. Three minutes later we arrived there ("long" in terms of RS distance bluetongue.gif ), and thought that we would find a perfect HQ there. When we checked a few buildings, we were surprised by the fact that others in buildings near us could hear our conversations! The laws of physics obviously don't apply in Runescape, I mean, where are the sound-proof rooms? Anyway, this wouldn't do either.

- We stood in silence for a moment, then someone asked about Lumbridge. We almost set off on another major leg of our journey, when we thought that too many new players would be absorbed by the clan this way (we welcome new players, but don't want to deliberately attract them in a promotional event of course). Well, remember that this is F2P, there is not a frenzy of duels among high levels in Lumbridge (as there is on P2P).

- A bit tired from the walking, we decided to go have a drink at the Jolly Boar Inn (well, I had lemonade, I'm not going to talk about what the others had though... TheSmile.gif ). When we got there, we were thinking, "This would be great for parties! Kinda near a bank and an unlimited supply of beer." Unfortunately, they were running a little low on lemonade, but I went along anyway. We then walked upstairs and said together (in great roleplayed amazement), "Wow, this is amazing...", I knew they were drunk. But then it struck me... This is it!!! Carpeted, enclosed rooms, upstairs, away from other towns (in terms of hearing distance), near a bank, unlimited beer, F2P area, near the wilderness, not commonly used among clans, training for newer members downstairs, steady (small) flow of players that can be attracted to events, safe for new players, and there is a friendly drunk black knight that seems to like our company.

... And this concludes my story. TheSmile.gif

So following the next update, the Jolly Boar Inn will be our new HQ. Along with this update, I may introduce weekly meetings to SeeD since there is little chance of conflict there. Not sure though (about weekly meetings), you'll have to wait for the official word. biglaugh.gif

Chances are that I will establish an official time for meetings every Saturday. If I do this, I will attend as many meetings as possible, but the real purpose would be for SeeDs to meet each other and possibly go PKing or something as a group. Nobody will be obligated to come, but it will be a good thing if members take advantage of this.

Note: Many have been requesting meetings, which is why I thought that this would be a good time to implement them. I was a little afraid of sparking conflicts in Falador (since everyone uses the empty castle), which is why I feel better about this now.

Wehhey, we might have meetings! But saturday? I get home from work at 6 PM GMT so it would have to start somewhere around 2-3 PM EST (is that your time zone Cspace, I forgot) for me to be there. Just tell us when you're ready and we'll probably come.

If it's on Saturdays, this is the most likely time (unless everyone else can't make it then).

Maybe we can alternate (Saturday one week, Sunday the next), I'll see what will be possible grnwink.gif

We march... We march to war... We march... We fight... We are Spartans. Blood will fall, but it will not be ours... We march... Sparta is war reborn... we are the children of war... We are Spartans.
I am Leonidas, and this is my story. I have met the wolf, felt its bite, and I have survived. These new wolves are neverending, but Sparta will show true might. Though we fall, still we will come for we are war incarnate. I have started this, and so must I finish it. Xerxes shall die, this I, Leonidas, warlord of Sparta, do say. This is the story of the 300... the story of Spartan heroism. Though we bled the ground red at Thermopolyae, still we live on.
War is Sparta, We are Spartans. We are War!
