This is just plain stupid. There are senators in my state that want to make it to where minors can't purchase games there are "violent", and any place that sells these 'violent video games" has to build in there store, a little section where the violent video games are so "children" can't get in.....dam! There planing on video games being treated like porn. and thats just stupid!

How violent is 'violent'?
I mean, I haven't seen video games that anybody might consider bad for anybody that can buy the games themself. I mean, if a 13 year-old can buy it by himself, then it is usually appropriate.

Meh, my mom checks out most video games before I buy em anyway..
Only bad thing I can really see this might drive up prices of video game (not many people will buy em, so they will have to raise prices to make a profit), and start making games that are for 3 year olds...

i agree with not letting minors buy the game and the parents shud but i dont agree with separating them into two sections. Kiddy games and Violent games that wud just suck. we wud have to stay int he kiddy section... i buy my games with my parents ne ways...

It looks like a good idea. Kids shouldn't be allowed to buy violent games like GTASA and the other game you mentioned. If kids are going to buy M games, they should have a parent or guardian buy them for them. (Show ID, stuff like that.) That's the problem. Games like GTA influence kids to think "If a video game can be made out of it, well it must be OK!" (I've actually had someone say that to me.)
But it's a good idea, and I'm with Base in hoping this will spread to other states.
