my greatgrandmother passed away on april 14 2005 (4days ago) she was diagnosed with stomach cancer... well... i dont know when. 8 months ago she was doing horribly and was about to die ... even the doctors gave up hope. but then she survived 4 8 more months. not that lingering on your death bed thing, but healthy better. then her tumor burst open again. and a few days ago i went to visit her. she had virtually no pain and wasn't on pain medication. she was very at peace with dying... her attitude was pretty much ive got my bags packed and its my time to go. she even joked saying how she feels that she cheated everyone out of a funeral 8 months ago. the really surprising thing was that at her funeral and viewing combined there were only about 100 ppl there, its surprising beacuse she has a REALLY big family... i mean 4-5 fully packed greyhound busses big.

That REALLY sucks man.... I felt the same when my great grandma died about 11-ish months ago
