And a word to Snowy as well, while moderating a forum may give you powers, the powers are MAINLY to be used for exactly that: moderating the forum. Mods are chosen for forums based on what they show, there is no single requirement for all mods. Like someone into Events could potentially mod the Event Forum, someone who shows general responsibility could get a forum like GD or SI, someone who contributes to a certain aspect like trivia may get the forum which pertains to it, and someone who's insane and enjoys the Insanity Board could get the Insanity Board if trusted. I don't think someone who is serious and responsible all the time would want to be a mod there, hehe, all mods there abused it somehow at one time or another.

We need a balance between things, don't want either extreme (too serious or too crazy) so we have mods that contribute to both ends of the spectrum. Also, I think some people place too much under the "spam" category. Spam is anything completely irrelevant or pointlessly short. Not necessarily something off-topic or crazy if it is intended to at least be humorous.

I mean, just look at JGJ. Apparently his post count is 1696, but he is most active in the Insanity Board with 2505 posts.

Just saying, there is no single requirement for modship. If someone has a presence in a certain forum (in any forum) he/she is going to be considered more for modship there than someone who is merely responsible but doesn't use it. I think some people are looking at the title "Moderator" as its own entity, but in my mind there are different types and that title alone doesn't necessarily correspond to specific traits or contributions. One name, but not one purpose. That's also a difference between Moderator and Super Moderator, the two positions shouldn't really be linked except for the fact that they have similar abilities.

That was back in the day when those forums were new and we didn't have as many members, lol. To mod a SeeD-related forum at that time, the only requirement (along with general responsibility) was activity in SeeD. You matched that, and wanted to be a mod, hehe, so that's how it ended up since you didn't object to that choice.
