Let's Get Meetings Happening Again

That's a good idea. We have a 'CurvedSpace' meeting in the chat (#cspacechat, therefore), and we have faction meetings ingame, lead by the faction leader (ie. Master of Stuff would lead the Runescape ingame meeting).
Well, CurvedSpace needs no meetings, the SeeD meetings would probably be held in #seedchat.

I'll put my suggestions in a nice list.
I hope that helps some, I might think of some more suggestions another time.

- Meeting Leaders would need some sort of position description, like what they need to do during each meeting they attend.
- I suggest a private forum for Meeting Leaders where things can be posted that will be a list of Announcements/topic discussions that will need to be brought up for the next meeting. It's more convenient and easier than carbon copying PMing all of them since you can discuss what to bring up during the next meeting. So when there's a meeting about to start and you're a leader, you check out all the announcements that need to be made and possible topic discussions or polls.
- Since we're moving into factions, we should incorporate this into our meetings. At the end of the meeting in the chat, everyone splits off into games. Like a certain group of people announce that they're heading onto RuneScape to have a drop party and another group announces they're having some duels in Diablo or whatever. That way we get in-game events in and people get to have a variety of game choices.
- Because of the likeliness of there being more than one Meeting Leader attending a meeting, they should quickly choose which person will be announcing things and leading the meeting the most. It'd get confusing if a bunch of people are shouting out announcements, and it's possible what they say would contradict each other which would further confuse attenders. Simply put, meeting leaders choose which one should lead that event and the others can back them up whenever needed.
- Meetings should have a very basic organization. Something like Announcements always at the beginning and then whatever follows is what everyone wants to do. It could be questions, discussions, games, etc..
- I agree with Hyper on the choice of Meeting Leaders, that's enough to have at least one at each meeting.
I hope that helps some, I might think of some more suggestions another time.

Ok, since the new inter-faction SeeD Ranks are being implemented now, I was thinking that since these meetings would be inter-faction, the leadership of the meetings should be based on the following (on who is attending at the time of the meeting's beginning):
Website Admins (Rylkan and I at the moment, A.K.A. those fellows with "N/A" Ranks): We probably wouldn't run the meetings even if present, but if something needs to be done we will bring it up. If attending we will probably give the meeting's leadership to the next highest rank.
Community Admins (MoS and Star at the moment): I'll have to discuss it with them, but they could be in the same situation as the website admins (letting the next highest rank lead except for important business).
SeeD Ranks: Basically the one with the highest SeeD rank would lead. If there's more than one there will be a kicking duel to determine who leads.
Ok, forget the duel, in the case of multiple members with the same rank attending perhaps for now the meeting's leadership could be determined by the join date of those with the tied Ranks (whoever has been a SeeD longest)? If the join date is the same as well we could just have a kicking duel.

What does everyone think for now about this? It's not final, but I'm just putting something on the table to chew on.

I like it
. 'specially the kicking duel
. . . Well, 'specially the SeeD ranks relevence part, if i'm honest
.
Not too sure about the join date decider though, as [for example] there are members who have joined after me who are better leaders of meetings and stuff. Still. . . cant think of anything else that might work, so i'll go with whatever you decide the main course is

Sounds good, I think we'd have kicking duels anyways, hehe.

Well, technically that would be a RS faction meeting since it's being held in RS.

(nothing wrong with that at all, hehe, but just saying that since all-encompassing SeeD meetings will probably need to be held in the chat)
As for the all-SeeD meetings, what schedule does everyone think would be good? I am thinking every other week alternating between Saturday and Sunday, but please post your feelings about this.

- Meeting leaders?
Methinks whoever's willing to take the job and will be responsible about it.
- Location?
chat is good.
- Time?
alternate it, not all of us like being up at strange hours of the day/night.
- Frequency?
hmmm.....once or twice a week should be plenty.
- Content?
whatever needs to be talked about.
- Anything else you can think of?
uh...stuff. we could always vote for leaders, who could confer to think of stuff that needs to be discussed in these meetings.

We just need a ranking system not related to what's going on in RS. I mean, we could do Captains and Generals and so on... but that would only relate to the RS faction and would be leaving the others out. The numbered SeeD Ranks provides a system to both replace the basically inactive Emblem system (and also make it inter-faction) as well as provide the inter-faction ranks which are required for game-independent events and other things. The numbered system, which also matches FFVIII where SeeD comes from, also would prevent naming conflicts (such as multiple types of General; would get confusing unless within factions).
Not to mention, since this system also includes members of CurvedSpace who are not SeeDs, this could provide incentive for them to become active if they gain Ranks for other things.
I think some are thinking meetings in like the Jolly Boar Inn like we're used to... but that's not the case because we're dealing with more factions than just in RS. To go with it we need another ranking system so we don't need to resort to mods, for we try our best not to make mods SeeD positions because technically they aren't.
Sorry if I confused anyone, perhaps someone else can explain it more simply.
