By keeping us off the tipsites, it also keeps us from getting SS (so it's not totally irrelavent.)

I really wish they did tell us which one...it could be one I'm on right now! eek7.gif

I'm willing to bet it's tip.it. I've seen it has some naaasty spyware on it.

I'd stick with runehq. They seem to be the safest.

Well, I use tip.it (for that lovely coordinate locator program) but I don't use their forums...Could I be at risk? O_o

He's right... well from what I've encountered on Tip.it anyway.

I try and avoid staying on Tip.it for too long now if I can't find something on RuneHQ because one time I was browsing for a while when my computer detected a Trojan... which I immediately removed. I found this quite wierd but then blanked it out of my mind a little later thinking it was something completely random... but then I encountered it again which got me wary of Tip.it.

^^ Thanks Ayumi, you rock!! ^^

When i went on tip.it forums using IE it constantly spammed me saying trojans detected, i use firefox though and nothing seems to show.

EDIT: put ip instead of ie :$

As a matter of fact...

This past month was my first month of P2p, as everyone knows, and to get used to it I have been using tip.it (and tip.it only.) AND I did a virus scan about 1 week ago, and I was highly infected with "Look2Me," a spyware, and I found 2 Trojans...that's very coincidental.

Notice the date (2 weeks ago, right in my "P2p and using tip.it era.")

It's all "Adware-Look2Me," the Trojans were found using a trial Anti-Virus that I uninstalled after scanning, so I don't have a pic for that, sorry.

If it's possible to use .DLL files to do this...then it must be tip.it.

Edit- It found 16-17 files.

Oh yeah, I'd like to point out, I never went on the forums, just the main site, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Tip.it has always had spyware... Just not keyloggers, it's how they make their money (Excluding ads).

Just never use tip.it, and don't use IE...
