Strange Glitch

I was woodcutting in draynor with my shiny new rune axe when my axe head flew off. Since I can't weild rune, the axe was in my inventory and was clearly split in 2 parts. The strange thing is, my guy kept chopping and getting willow logs. WTF happened?

you got ent, same did he, but he stopped chopping and you didnt and chopped axe in 2.
or else he continued chop and was 90+ in wc lvl

yeah, jagex took that out after they updated the lumby area.
