There are many groups out tere helping to preserve the rainforests and other areas where animals can live peacefully without the interuption of humans. All I can say is that hopefully we advance more quickly space travelling than population.

Looks at animals' (including humans') deaths this way....When a human dies at an old age that doesn't even involve natural causes but a disease or accident, it isn't a very big thing since they were old and their time was soon to come anyways. However for other animals such as the ones found on the road (

), they don't have life spans as long as humans and don't have the intelligence to extend their life span, so getting hit by cars is an alternative to getting eaten by a predator Either way it doesn't matter as long as species do not become extinct. I know it's not that way with humans, but think about it. If deers were allowed to become over-populated people would complain and protest because of deers getting in their in the roads or hanging around their backyard. That could cause a dislike from peopel towards animals who didn't ahve a problem with it in the first place. That surely wouldn't end too well.

Maybe when we are able to live on Mars many years later we can enlarge animals' areas to live so that they can thrive without interuptions from us odd humans.
