In the very first fight with Kefka, assuming your characters are at standard levels for the time and you didn't use the Lete River trick, what character has the most powerful attack to use and what is that attack?

Hmm... the question suggests that the most powerful attack is going to be a character-specific one, not magic taught by an esper. Not sure what it'd be though...

At that point, the strongest attack you can have learned is Gau's Catscratch, which can kill Kefka in roughly two hits in the Narshe fight.
