There were plenty, but if they came out they suffered even more than now. In ancient Greece, homosexuality was widely accepted, which I find interesting, and disproves your point about the past and homosexuals,

Yeah, Leonardo Da Vinci was gay, and before that in Ancient Greece, as Sproogle said, was accepted.

Homosexuality is nothing new.

QUOTE
The world was MEANT for female and males. not M w/ M or the opposite. It was "nature" who did it. I mean look at plants they have reproductive systems too and they are female and male too.

thats what I frekain' said!

Anyway, The way I see it, Gays have more female hormones that hetero men and lesbians have more male hermones then hetero girls. But even though that could be a "Born with" thing it's a choice. Everything is choice, the world revolves around it. eerything is choice. So, being born gay and never acting on it is oen thing, being gay and acting on it is another.
{lang:macro__view_post}

So I choose where I'm born? I choose how my genes are? I choose how I look? I choose how other people treat me? I choose who my parents are? Most of the things that affect who we are when we grow up are things that we have no influence on.

I'm not thrilled with gays and everything, but they can do whatever they want, just as they don't violate others' rights.
Homosexuality has been around as long as hertosexuality (spelling? icon_sweatdrop.gif ). Animals can be gay just like humans, so the 'nature's way' does not really apply.
My beliefs kind of go against it, but my belief don't have a purpose in this. So, sure, let them marry.

There really isn't such a thing as "being gay". Anyone can choose to be gay, it's not like you're born gay and it eventually catches up with you. bluetongue.gif

People only favor it because they can't see past the immediate future or realize what human nature would cause to happen. Yes, there is some level of inequality in banning gay marriage. Other examples of inequality in the US that have emerged only in the past century as a result of things that were originally intended to bring about equality:

Affirmative action
Hate crime laws
Gang genocide on people of European descent in urban areas
Sex discrimination in divorce court against males
Convictions of rape without any evidence other than the prosecution's word

Need I go on? These inequalities have resulted from an initial desire to bring about equality, a desire that people like Martin Luther King Jr. and many others fought for and has been twisted against those that were once the oppressors to make them the oppressed. In Rome, once Christianity was tolerated and accepted it became the dominant religion, which led to Christian persecution of other religions, the loss of Rome's imperial ideology, and the fall of the empire.

In the case of allowing homosexuals this opportunity to move from the persecuted to the persecutors, much more would be at risk than the fall of the nation. Instead, this would promote (as I have said) the downfall of the human race. Is this something we can afford?

So everyone who believes in religion believes in heaven and hell? No sir. And as you pointed out yourself, there are SOME other religions (more specifically a lot). Man, I hate generalising.
