ok.... plane tickets SUCK! look.... my family has had an open invite to austrailia 4 a long time...(family thing) ... a while back my dad was looking into going... about 1 grand per lo-class ticket (round trip i think & we live in texas) ... now gas prices have shot way up... so im guessing 1200 per.... lets say 10 austrailians 10 englanders and 130 americans... and we had a meeting in say.... kansas (mid us) thats

1200x10
1100x10
approx 500x130
then hotels..... i dont want to add this all up........

Everyone seems to be against it. Funny, last time it came up everyone seemed to love it.

The difference, of course, is that the old plan had no organization whatsoever... it was mainly "hey, by then most of us will be 18, let's have a road trip and spread insanity across the country!"

I've seen things like this work before....first off, 150 members would not be showing up to something like this...I could see 20 showing up, mostly american. Also driving a few hundred miles is not going to be too expensive, when you compare it to a vacation. I could see it working to some extent if it got some real orginization.

Interesting idea, but I doubt 10 years from now many of us will be remaining, in the highly unlikely case the clan is at all. Oh well, guess it can't really hurt to hope. grnwink.gif
