Should racism be allowed as an excuse/blame?

I've never heard of blacks complaining that the cop is racist.
If they do, thats just stupid. The cop pulled you over because you were speeding/drunk driving/whatever, NOT because you were black.

Unfortunately, especially in the US, cops are accused of racism and portrayed of it in the left-wing media more often than not. I agree that this is extremely unfair.
Frankly, with how high crime rates are in the US, we need to strengthen our police force rather than continually weakening it...

Actually, there was just a news report done around here on something like that.
Scenario:
An African American was driving a porsche and was pulled over. He was only pulled over because of what he was driving, and the cop thought he stole it.
This is a true scenario. It happened around here.

My dad is a cop so I understand this stuff. Yes, racial profiling does exist, but it's not like white cops pull over blacks because there racist. If my dad would see a young, white male, in an VERY expensive car, and in the worst drug/black area in town. He'd pull him, yes it's racial profiling and yes maybe it's not "good" but it's commen since.
He would tell the guy that he shouldn't be in that area and send him on his way.

Your dad wouldn't have a job after that either. Racial profiling does exist, but it is on an individual basis and is dealt with like that.

Ok dude, you obviously don't now anything about our goverment here. Yeah, it's racial profiling but, he was a drug-and-vice officer, that was his job doing that stuff...

I was obviously a cop for 4 years and now I work for the government, so don't act like I don't. In order to stop someone legally, they must have completed a moving violation or have a warrant for their arrest. You can't stop someone because they have a nice car or because they are black or white.

Yeah, they would have to have a violation, Nomaly. But racial profiling has allways, and will allways, be used. Now, he wouldn't stop a black guy on the highway because he's black, but a young, black guy, in the worst area of town, in a cadalac, with a "**** the cops" sticker on his windshield, IS some one you stay away from.
Now, if your white, and your walking down the street and a black guy, wearing a "&%&^ authority" shirt on walks past you, you go "he's probably a criminal"- Racial profiling.
Btw, my dads been a cop for 25 years..he knows what he's doing...
