Do this yourselves, and this is on the honor system. I can't say some people won't be disobeying this.

Heh, if you know how to program, that would make solving this question alot easier bluetongue.gif

I HIGHLY doubt anyone will be bothered to go about writing out every single prime number between 1 and 10,000 by hand bluetongue.gif ( i sure as hell wont icon_sweatdrop.gif )

then this question seems more like a test of programming knowledge, not mathematical.

You don't have to be a programmer to get this right. I don't want anyone to try and program this (it was hard... my head still hurts. screama.gif ), as I want to torture people and make them write out each one individually. Since that is a very daunting task, find a website that lists all the prime numbers and add them on a calculator from there.

I withdraw my previous statement about people not being able to look stuff up on the web. In most cases, that wouldn't even help anyway.

i've got the median of the prime numbers using an internet list:
4535.5

but i can't type 1228 prime numbers into my calculator and get the average, and neither can my calculator hold all that information.

Wow, there are really that many?!?!? I guess I can give you 2 of the 3 points unless someone posts the average, then they get all the points. Someone else can post it until monday night, as I'll have the average by that time.
